Cape May Cafe on a Fantasmic Night

Hi everyone!

I decided tonight that I was done trying to plan meals around what the kids would enjoy and eat (not like they would do much of that anyways ) and will be planning where DH and I would enjoy eating.

I want to work in Cape May Cafe while we are on the dining plan and the only night it seems to work is our DHS day. However we love Fantasmic and I promised the girls we would see it again.

It is scheduled for 8:30 the night we are there (September 29th). I know they may add shows, or change showtimes...but that is what it is for right now.

What are the chances of us making a 5:30 reservation at CMC and getting back to DHS before the 8:30 showing of Fantasmic? I was hoping to get there by 7:30ish to try and make sure we get ok seats and don't have to wait in a huge line.

Also what would be the best way to get back and forth?

Piece of cake. show up a few minutes early and they may be able to get you in. We always do and we're always seated early. When you leave out past the pool area go to the right, there is a lighthouse. If you are stuffed from diner, you can catch a ferry over. If you want to walk off some crab legs, clams, muscles, beef, salad, chicken nuggets, pizza, and Mac and cheese, it takes a good 15-20 minutes of walking to get to DHS from the Beach Club. Just go past the lighthouse and follow the path past the Boardwalk.

Should I mention some of the desserts they have there too

A 5:30 ADR at Cape May and to DHS by 7:30? I think you'd have not problem at all. The worst case scenario is that you'd be running too late to take the boat and might have to walk. But, I seriously doubt it.

Thanks for asking this question..I just booked CMC the week before you and will try and do the same (5:30pm ressie and then get to DHS for the fireworks). I am a newbie to all the scheduling so I am so glad to see someone else is trying to do the same thing and it will work

WHAT A GREAT IDEA!

I want to eat there on our next trip so I had it scheduled on one of our days off. Now I think we'll go on one of our HS days instead and eat in the cabin another night. THANKS!

We are going to try the same thing during our trip at the end of August, but have a 530 at Captains Grill. I'm thinking we should have time if we walk it.
