Cape may cafe clam bake

we have nothing but GREAT things about this clam bake.....looking forward to the responses also..

We liked it the first year very much. This past September we thought it only mediocre. Seemed to us that they cut back on a lot of the fish selections and did not have much variety in the other offerings. We will say the dessert bar is to die for though.

We went on our last trip and I didn't think it was anything to rave about. Just normal tasting food. Alright desserts but nothing better than I got anywhere else. It was just OK..we won't go back

We eat there every trip and havent had a bad meal yet. I hate seafood and there are plenty of other choices. Its usually or most filling meal and then we get to walk around the boardwalk or go into Epcot and digest

I finally convinced DW (won't eat anything that lives in water) to go there.
It was just ok. There are much better places even if they don't have fish/seafood.:earsboy:

It was good, but we enjoyed BOMA a bit more.

We enjoy it - everyone's happy with the choices on the buffet. And the locations great - nice to stop in after a day at HS, with an evening planned in Epcot.

It's a "Must Do" every visit for us - even if it's a day trip. DH loves all kinds of seafood (of course - why not - we live on the Florida coast..........). I'm not much into seafood but love the shrimp and can always find enough to eat off of the other portions of the buffet. Also, the dessert bar is worth the trip in itself!! :woohoo:

Great the first two times but then it was just eh ok the last 2 times we went, cold food and some dried out food. The ribs and roasted chicken are out of this world, the fried talapia is the best!

We just stuff ourselves on the steamed clams and mussels - plate after plate after plate. They used to have buckets which certainly made for fewer trips to the buffet. It is our tradition to eat there the day we arrive( we usually don't go to a park that day), then walk off our meal by walking around the boardwalk. Then home to bed so we can hit the parks early. We have never been disappointed with our meals there. Even non seafood people are pleased with the selection.

I don't understand anyone thinking the dessert choices are limited. From the top of my head I can think of:

mini cheescake
mini key lime pie
some kind of flan or creme brulee dish
3 kinds of cookies
a hot fruit cobbler
chocolate brownie or cake (can't remember which)
a white/yello cake
OREO BON-BONS!!!!!!!!!!!

I've never been disappointed in the dessert offerings here, or the regular food for that matter.
