Hi all.
I think i know the answer to this already but I'd love an expert opinion.

We have a 5 day trip booked for the 2nd week of march. We leave on a wednesday and our flight leaves MCO at 1030am. We are staying at the swan.
This is our last disney trip for a few years and next time we come Im pretty sure both my kids will be out of the magic stage and into the fun/thrills stage. So im trying to eek every last bit of magic out of this trip.

The morning of our flight, I have a 730a reservation at Cape May Cafe for breakfast. My daughter LOVES minnie. I know we'll see her a bunch at the parks but the idea of not doing a character meal make me sad. Do we have time to do it? If we are quick? Or is this an insane idea? Is it worth it even?

And as an FYI, there is no other time on our trip to do it. It's this time or no time.

and another FYI, my husband thinks im crazy lol 🤪

THANK YOU!

Even though we have PreCheck, we’re always concerned about MCO. We usually leave WDW 2 1/2 to 3 hours before our flight if we have a rental car to drop off, and of course the various bus services routinely schedule pickups about 3 hours in advance. So I’d think carefully about your transportation back to MCO, do you have luggage to check, how close to boarding time do you like to arrive at the gate?

Also, how early does Cape May open? If you arrive at Cape May then, would that give you more leeway?

Personally, we would not book a 7:30 ADR when our plane leaves at 10:30.

I would not recommend this at all. Even if everything goes well you won’t be finished your breakfast for almost an hour. I would be stressed the entire time. You will then need to grab any carry-on luggage you have stored with luggage services as there isn’t room in the restaurant for luggage. Drive to airport 30-45 mins. You are arriving at MCO (a notoriously busy airport) with possibly an hour before your flight.

Sorry but not recommend at all.

wow that is an aggressive plan. i would think by day 5 you would be so worn out doing a big breakfast before a flight might be too much i think the hubby is correct. but i love your optimistic attitude

There’s a chance you make it. But you’ll be stressed out the entire meal. Doesn’t seem worth it.

I agree with the responses you've been getting. It would be way too rushed to enjoy the breakfast anyway. And MCO can be very unpredictable - even with TSA-pre, you'll be pushing things to be on your flight home. It's a great idea - you just need a flight that leaves a couple hours later!

I’m notorious for pushing it at MCO. And I would want to be there with clear and assuming not checking luggage by 9ish. I could maybe make the argument to do it if you brought your bags to the restaurant (carry on only) and left there by 815, but that’s a pretty fast and unenjoyable meal. You also don’t say you have clear or what your luggage situation is.

We are a carry-on only fam with tsa-pre, not clear. We are very frequent travelers so i feel confident that barring anything crazy happening, we'd get to the plane. But you all make a great pt about the meal not being chill. Its alot of money for a rushed, not-chill, 30-45 min breakfast. AND, i dont want that to be the last taste of disney for this trip. Its probably wiser to close out the parks the night before and let that be the last of the fun.

thanks all! i cannot wait to get there!
