Well, here's the first negative review I will give the Cape May Clambake. It was our 3rd visit to DW and 3rd visit here. Here's my review from LAST year:

This was one of our absolute MUST DO's. It is DS14's favorite place. Or, should I say, was.
Not sure if going on Mother's Day made a difference or not. It was CROWDED. And although it was always busy, it just seemed more chaotic this time.
First of all, the dessert I raved about- the warm lava cake - is no longer there. It's one of the first things I noticed (you walk in by the desserts) and I mentioned it to our server. She actually said "that's the #1 thing people write, email and complain about - they should really bring it back." Ohhhhh-kayyy. Maybe they should then.
Good news is, the oreo bon-bons are alive and well.

Anyway, the lines for the buffet were a bit scattered. The food was not replenished as quickly as it had been on previous visits, and I was unimpressed by the salad bar - everything was about 1/4 full, near empty, and strewn all over. There were people holding up the line waiting for more clams and crab legs, and everything just seemed overall disorganized. The carved beef was fantastic, and the chicken nuggets are still my favorite, but that's not a reason to come.
At the end of the meal my server said my son's smoothie would NOT be included on the dining plan. I told her it always had been. She said "sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't." I found that to be an odd statement, and when she came back she let me know it was my lucky day, because it "took the drink off."
Ugh, this was a disappointment, and pretty sure we won't be back.
