how is the breakfast here? recommeneded? What is the best way to get to an 8am ressie from pop? By Cab? should i make prior arrangements or will I be able to walk out the door and find a cab at pop? First time staying on site without a car. Hope it isn't to confusing

It's one of the best! No clue on the advice to help you get there - we always rent a car so we can dine at other resorts. Good luck!!

Can I ask what makes it so good?

I currently have reservations for Chef Mickey's for breakfast but since we are staying at the Beach Club I was considering changing it to Cape May.

It's an extensive buffet, CM's are friendly and they give crayons for the kids to draw on the tablecloth (white paper). I've never been disappointed with the food, service or atmoshpere! You can't go wrong. :wizard:

We think the selection and quality of food is better there than Chef Mickey's. It certainly not as noisy there as the "open air" Contemporary Resort. A couple of the CM characters are also pretty good artists, as we had some draw on the table for our DS. Great time. Thay have castles made with sugar in plexiglass boxes next to some of the tables which is pretty cool. Not very convenient to get to if you are not staying at any of the EPCOT resorts at 8:00 in the AM tho. I'm thinking a taxi would be the best bet which you will have to call for in advance.

It is extensive but it is very expensive for breakfast (as all the character breakfasts are). It is a very nice place for a meal. Go there extra-hungry and then eat a lot and then burn it off at either Epcot or at Studios that day. You won't be hungry again until at least mid-afternoon.

It is our second favorite after 1900 Park Fare. It is a more relaxed atmosphere than Chef Mickey's. The food was delish, the service was fabulous and friendly, and the characters were GREAT!!!

do the characters spend an adequate amount of time with the children. By adequate I mean enough to get a good picture or two and an autograph? WHo is usually there? and is first thing better than later in the morning?

We (two) adults ate there as it was our resort, but we enjoyed it even though it was a character breakfast. Great food, clean, friendly staff, and not too noisy. We had Minnie, Goofy and Dale (Chip was MIA). The buffet had an entire section of pastries, eggs, bacon, ham, potatoes, fruit, pancakes, Mickey Waffles - nothing too unique, but very good!

Agree 100%. Not as bombarded as CM either. Tried it for the first time in 04 and now will never miss it.
