Oh my god my dh has just shown me yet again he is an Accountant. I tell you its true Accountants are tight with thier money. I said to Bruce I am on nights tonight, I cant get to the shops. We have basically run out of any potato products. We basically need to go shopping. I said to Bruce get some chips from a fish and chip shop or a KFC, which round the cornor. What does he reply. I will get some "chips" (only chips) its quarter of the price of KFC and its quicker. :confused3 We are saving up for FL for November, but I can tell you we are not hard up that we have to have only chips from a fish shop, because we are saving up for Florida. He is such a miser sometimes. I dont know. Its like getting blood out of a stone.

aw bless him michelle, at least he's got your families best interests at heart, and a few sacrifices now will pay off when you get to WDW

Michelle, if he was any sort of accountant, he would have bought potatoes and made chips ;)

I think if Bruce had his way he would have. Its only because I am off to work soon he knows I wouldnt have time ;)

Oh and I forgot to add. When my tights ripped at work and I needed a new pair. His reply was. Well we have to put it on the budget :confused3 We are talking £2.50 at most. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I love him to bits, but his quirky ways with the obsession of his new and excellent cash flow budget he has made my god it gets on my nerves. You would think we were close to bankruptcy at times :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Luckily he isnt boring as well, unlike some Accountants I have had to meet in the past at his xmas parties.

2.50 for tights Michelle, surely you can get 5 pairs for that LOL

Then he would of probably made me find a pack that was only selling one pair :lmao:

I wish I could be like that sometimes!!! Spend or Save - I would spend everytime. Good job my DH is a Bank Manager and stashes it away before I get hold of it:lmao:

tell him you can save the tights money by dying your legs with tea like they did in the war! :lmao:

other savings you can make:

remember to save wrapping paper from parcels
re use baco foil
fry the potato peelings to make your own crisps

any more? :lmao:

Oh bless his little socks, I can see why this would drive you mad, I suppose his heart is in the right place though, I'm having visions of him delicately folding used wrapping paper and storing it now:lmao:

lol

you know what used to drive my grandad nuts

when i wrote on envelopes for birthday cards etc to him, he go mad, say it was a waste etc, used to write very very big just to annoy him!

bless him, he was my favourite grandad, passed away last year, i miss him a lot, i had alex after he passed , and he so reminds me of him he would have loved him x

Its funny though. He would be from one extreme to another. He wouldnt hesitate spending loads on a night out, holiday, presents etc. It little bits like above I think aye :confused3

Just to let you know he came in with a KFC :rotfl:

well funny

my dad reuses his bacofoil from his work sarnies
my nan unwraps her pressies oh so carefully to save the wrapping

Michelle, if he was any sort of accountant, he would have bought potatoes and made chips ;)

He'd have brought pototoes planted them, grown a crop and sold the ones you didn't need to the chippy.:lmao:
