We got that ever so popular free dining pin so we're thinking about heading down to Florida this summer. Sine my daughter is a teenager and thinks I'm old, we were thinking of bringing one of her friends along with us. So we would need 2 rooms.

Can we book one room on the package so that we get the free dining and book the other room "room only" using my boyfriend's military discount? We thought about just doing the suite over at All Stars but we're snobs :rotfl: and don't want to wait for the busses at an uncovered bus stop......in the summer......in Florida......with a toddler:rotfl:

That might work :) Sounds like a good plan! There is also the option for staying at POR and getting a 5 person room. They have a trundle bed.

2 teenagers AND a toddler? No, we need 2 separate rooms! :lmao: And since we're staying moderate, we wanted to see how much we could shave off of our trip. We're willing to pay the rack rate in order to get free dining but if we could save a few bucks on a second room, I say "pack your bags. We're going to Disney"!:yay:

Wouldn't it be that the people in the "room only" would not get the free dining? You have to give them names for the ressie, right? So I think you would have to do two rooms with free dining to all receive the free dining. Others, please correct me if I'm wrong.

well it would have to be 2 seprate calls
and you would have to have enough room in the free dining room for every one to get it

you call and make the free dining ressi for every one in one room

then bf calls and makes a room only ressi

we've done it quite a few times... yes, it is totally do-able... you can do it all in one call... what we do is put the whole family on the free dining reservation and then just one of the two adults on the room-only reservation... we ask that they link the two ressies...

however! you are not guaranteed connecting rooms... you may have rooms that connect and that's great... you may get rooms next to one another and that's almost tolerable (although if my 13yo were going with you, i'd freak if they had their own entrance/exit/no accountability after you went to bed, kwim?)... or you may get rooms in the same resort and that's it... so, mom/dad may need to be prepared to split (hmmmm, who gets toddler and who gets teenagers?! in my family i would end up w/teens and toddler and dh would have a room to himself! LOL! and yes, i have two teens and a toddler so i know this! LOL!)
