***Can't keep us down...OFFICIAL MAY 2021 THREAD...come heck or high water we're going to WDW!!!***

I always scroll through the “Today’s Headlines” section on the right side of the screen. I saw one today with ”May 2021 hours.”
https://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/hours/may2021.cfm

These don’t match the official Disney page but is there any reason they may be correct? We are planning on going to MK on 5/05 and this calender shows it closing at 12 noon, which is making me nervous. :crazy2:

I sure hope so! I'm hoping end of April hours will get extended because that will be more telling if May hours do, also. Hours right now are getting extended because of the spring break crowds.

Man, how I miss walking around Disney in the dark. No sunscreen!

That doesn't make any sense, Sunday May 2nd says 9-1 neither date says AM or PM, but I don't think it's right.

My ADR day isn’t until next week and I honestly have no idea where I want to eat. Even though I’m fully vaccinated I want to minimize indoor dining and that makes things difficult.

We’re hoping to be down there 5/3-5/7. Any one normally go that time of year? What can I expect weather wise? We went mid-September and it was low 90’s and humid.

I don't even know when my ADR day is. I'm being such a planning slacker. 😂

I am having this conflict as well! I booked for indoor places since there are few table service places that have outdoor options, but I might end up cancelling them at the last minute if I think I want to stick to outdoor, which almost always means quick service in the parks. In the meantime, I've got them if I want them!

We made the conscious decision to go with the flow re: indoor dining. Booked ressies and if there is an outdoor table, we'll try to grab it, otherwise (((shrug))). We'll both be vaxxed fully by the time we are down there, the baby just sits in his highchair grinning at everyone, and our 6 year old is an excellent mask wearer and we taught her early that restaurants aren't for running around in. We didn't come to this decision lightly, but we're ALL supposed to be on vaca, not just the three of them while I place orders and worry about timing at QS. I finally was like, "We'll already have been in the airport, crammed on A PLANE, and in a rented car that lets be honest probably just gets Regular Cleaned, not Covid Cleaned. I want to sit down once a day and enjoy a meal while someone brings me a menu."

Just like coming on this trip, not an easy decision to make and what suits us for now won't suit everyone else. I know you'll make the right decision for you and for the most part, you can always modify. At least I imagine it will be easier to try to get a walk in or last minute ressie for one lol :)

Due to flight changes, we opted to fly down a day early and are now spending a night at Jambo in a 1 bedroom value. I’m kind of interested to see what it’s like in there when it’s not full of people.

We have a 2 bedroom value for three nights-have only stayed at kidani before so excited to experience Jambi.

Turner6 going 5/22-5/29 - AKV - Kidani - Savanna View

We're new DVC members and this will be our first stay as members!

We've had this booked for months, but I'm just starting to realize that we'll actually be able to go.

We had flights booked, but I'm nervous about our newly 2 year old not complying on the plane and causing a scene. (I know she'll have to wear one at WDW, but I'm worried that she'll freak out on the plane and we'll get kicked off or something).

So...we're driving. Boo! But....at least we're still going!

Can't wait to get caught up on this thread. :daisy:

It’s finally here - ADR day! I was able to get all the restaurants we wanted, just not the desired times on a couple. I’ll keep checking back to see if anything has opened up. Our choices this year are:
Be Our Guest
Hollywood Brown Derby
Rose and Crown
Yak & Yeti
Raglan Road
San Angel Inn
Sci-Fi Diner

I’m debating on adding something for our first night. We aren’t planning any park time that day, but could alway go to Disney Springs.

Hey! Joining the thread. We are heading down 5/1-5/8. 39 days to go!!! Still debating on whether or not to swap our HS and AK days. We are supposed to do HS on May the 4th which is at capacity. I wasn't even thinking about that when we scheduled our park days. AK is 5/6. Still debating.

We aren’t SW fans so we’d definitely switch, it will be busy!
I posted in the main TPAS forum but I’m debating which park for our Sunday- Epcot or HS. We’ll do one park a day and one of those two has to be on Sunday.

We also didn't make the connection about 5/4 when we booked our park day for HS. 🤪 I think we're sticking to it because although we've done ROTR in DL, we want to check out GE in WDW - way bigger than ours. Disneyland isn't reopening until end of April and even then it will be really hard to get into the park with their 15% capacity.

This is our tentative schedule
4/30 - Arrive and settle in at CSR; Disney Springs
5/01 - Epcot
5/02 - AK
5/03 - MK
5/04 - HS
5/05 - Epcot
5/06 - HS
5/07 - MK, go home :sad1:
