Can't decide. WDW or Disneyland.

Disneyland is far and away the better park and I love fantasyland, all the fireworks , Fantasmic!, Aladdin, and World of Color but with that being said I would wait until 2012 when all the remodeling at DCA is complete. The only thing I miss at WDW is Epcot otherwise DL resort is perfect. Plus you get the gorgeous Pacific Ocean and San Diego is only a short drive away. Once you visit DL you will never want to leave. Honestly, having been to both A LOT, it really depends on what you expect. Given a choice, and unlimited time and money, I would rather go to WDW. However, if we are talking in terms of a single park, Disneyland Park is better than the Magic Kingdom, IMHO (in my opinion, nothing beats EPCOT)

It is not the same kind of experience. It is much, MUCH smaller thand WDW, and that has its good and bad points--from an inexpensive, clean, comfortable hotel across the street, we can "walk and roll" anywhere (I'm in a wheelchair). On the other hand, there isn't that all-encompassing, "Disney as far as the eye can see" feeling you get at WDW.

There both different, and both good, and as far as I'm concerned, any day with Disney is a good day.

That last bit sums it up perfectly! I prefer WDW, but am leaving in a couple of days for an adult only trip to DL. I love both, but my heart is in Florida, so we'll be heading there later on in the year with the whole family.

You really can't go wrong with either but if you have a friend who is a DL expert, go to DL. You won't regret it!

Yep and as a WDW vet having gone 8 times in the past decade and only once to DLR last summer, DLR is a special place to me. The history, the nostalgia, the detailing in even the tiniest detail really stands out. Walt's park is like meeting an old friend you're really comfortable with and enjoy being around. Part of DLR's appeal it's like a perfectly preserved museum in some ways. You're walking around and it dawns on you how much history has unfolded in that park and how it changed America and is a part of our culture. It is Walt's original vision, his masterpiece, and no matter how many other parks are built around the world, no other park can say that. Remember, DLR is the granddaddy of them all. Enjoy it.

We prefer WDW. We have been to DL once & it didn't have the same magical feel that WDW does. Mainly for me, I think it's due to WDW feeling like you are completely away from the real world & totally immersed in Disney. DL doesn't have that feel. There is so much more to do at WDW too.
Now we have decided to go back to DL next year b/c they do have lots of little kid rides which my 2 yr old can do. Then it's back to WDW for our other trips.

Having lived in Anaheim for many years, then in Orlando for many years, I have a lot of fondness for both ... but ....

Disneyland did so much with so little, to me the place is more amazing, just for the skill of putting so much into such a small space. I never got tired of Disneyland. Though I was an annual passholder, and went week after week, year after year, I honestly NEVER got tired of it.

But after a number of years, and taking a few vacations to Disney World, I decided to relocate, in part for the chance to do more Disney. I moved to Orlando.

While there is a bit more to do, and there are some really nice experiences in WDW that you don't get in Disneyland, somehow it gets a lot more boring, a lot more easily. Looking back after many years, I very greatly wish I had continued to live in CA, visiting DL every week, and continued to vacation once or twice a year at WDW.

There may be something to what some are saying about waiting until some of the major refurbishes are completed, Disneyland is so very much well worth a visit! And I say that without ever having even seen California Adventure. At some point, make the visit ... you will love it!

Just go try DL. It will be a fun experience, but don't expect it to be the same as WDW.
