Hi everyone! Just got DH ok to plan another trip to WDW for 2005. As I am a teacher, we have to follow the school breaks...we could do either President's Week in February or the last week in April...Easter is in March this year...I am hoping you all in your infinite wisdom will help me decide!

TIA, guys and gals!

If I had to choose between the two dates you are considering, I would choose the last week in April without hesitation. President's Week is a very busy time in WDW. The end of April is less busy. Most schools have finished their spring breaks by that time (although you appear to be an exception !) Also, generally it is starting to warm up nicely in Orlando by the end of April.

Another vote for last week in April. I also think the rates might be less expensive then Pres. Week.

One more vote for The Last week in April. It is somewhat a quite time since most of the spring break people have been and gone and the summer people haven't arrived as yet. We'll be going the first week in May.

I have generally gone to WDW during President's Week when the crowds are pretty high. I am going this weekend and I have no clue what to expect in terms of weather or crowds (as I have never been during this timeframe before)... how long do you think the lines for attractions will generally be-- also, the forecast says it will be cloudy and rainy all weekend... I am praying that it will change. Any information you can give about what to expect this weekend? Thanks! :umbrella: :crowded:

Just a thought about the last week in April - there is a really good possibility that time period will include "Grad nights" - like this year and last year - which means that the MK closes at 7pm on Friday and Saturday nights (ie... no "Wishes" an No Spectro on those nights).

As far as the crowds go - Pres. weekend will be fairly crowded, but the weekdays aren't too bad at all. The last week in April will be fairly consistently crowded all week long (less than Pres. day weekend, but more than Pres. weekdays IMHO). The weather is also something to take into consideration if you (or the kids) like to spend alot of time at the waterparks or in the pool (In Feb - it might be cold, plus one of the water parks will be closed for re-hab at that time)

Thank you to all who answered me...I am going to make the reservation for the last week in April and take my chances with "Grad Nights" We have yet to experience the water parks...always ran out of time or went when it was too cold to truly enjoy and I think we will give them a go this time around. Sorry it took me so long to thank you...been a busy couple of days!
