Canon 400D (Rebel Xti, Kiss X)

My Canon XTi arrived last week. I have been playing with it a lot since then. It is amazing! With the help of this board and the vast knowledge that the disers have regarding photography I am sure I will continue to learn through time. Have fun!

iluvdisnee-Great pics. I love the jumping in the pool shots. I've used my old sony cybershot a few times this summer, and am amazed how slow it is now. I love the speed and actually getting the shot I'm going after.

cpbjgc-beautiful pictures. I love the colors in the slide pic, and the flower pic is gorgeous.

You know you've been bitten by the photography bug when you spot a local high-school football game and stop to take shots, even though you hate football!

And yet another of my nephew's daughter Katie (yes, that makes me a great-aunt, but I hate using that term...)

This "glare" scared me half to death when I realized he was coming straight at me!

What a gorgeous picture, and an adorable subject.

The football shots have gotten me excited. My nephew has his first high school game next weekend, and since I only had the kit lens, I had to order the 28-135 IS lens last night. And since the 50 mm lens was so cheap, I ordered that too. I spent some time this weekend reading Understanding Exposure, and I seem to see photo-ops everywhere. I need to download my weekend pics from my camera and post a few.

I got my new lens the 28-135 IS. I played around a lot last night with it, and am amazed how great the pic came out with low light with the IS. Took a bunch of the canon box, and the junk on my kitchen table and I went to my nephew's football game today. Here's a few pics. I really like the apple pic.

Iso400, 1/25th, 5.6. Program mode.

I thinkthis was Shutter priority of 1/500, iso 100. I don't know how to get all that info from the computer. I can only find it in the camera. I have so much to learn.

I've been trying to capture a decent butterfly shot all summer, and finally lucked out yesterday

1/1000, F5.6, 135mm, AV mode, white balance on auto, ISO400

A friend was all dolled up for so I stuck her on another friends Harley for this shot!

1/25, F7.1, 35mm, auto white balance, AV mode, ISO800.

And another shot of Katie....I'm addicted to this kid! It's impossible to take a bad picture of her

I just got my new Canon S5. I opened the box and oh my the books that come with it. How did you guys learn to use it? I don't think I will ever understand everything in those books.
