I am interested in taking advantage of the current promotion and adding on to my SSR contract.

I recieved an e-mail recently that told me who my Vacation Club guy was to call. This is not the name of the guy I originally bought from.

I have called multiple times over two days and have not gotten through to a human. I have left my number, but asked to recieve calls in the evening with no return call.

My question is whether there is a general sales number that I can call where someone who is available can help answer my questions and make a sale. If so, what are their hours?

In other threads I have seen the name and number of other DVC sales people. Will these other people help me even if I have been "assigned" another salesman?

Thanks in advance

You can change guides, but your assigned guide may simply be out of the office for a couple days, or working a cruise. I'd give him/her another day or so. Unless there is an urgent deadline to the promotion you want to use.

You need to remember that guides are people too. They work 4 - 10 hour days and then are off 2 days. This means that their 2 days off fluctuate from week to week. So the two day days that you've been calling could be his days off. Be sure to let him know that you are interested in purchasing on the message. I'm sure that will get his attention when he returns.

I also received an e-mail about the add-on promotion with the wrong guide. 2 days ago, I received another e-mail from Disney with my guide's name on it and the same promotion content and a request to ignore the previous e-mail with the wrong guide's name. So I imagine Disney may have goofed with the initial mass mailing.

You should always call your guide. The current promotion is a huge, huge success and it is very hard to get hold of anyone. My guide and I played phone tag for 2 days and I finally became pushy as I really need to make an airfare purchase decision pending how he answers my questions about the add-on. MS was sympathetic and while I was on the phone he sent an e-mail to my guide to please return my call ASAP. Within 20 minutes, my guide called me. On another occasion, my guide voluntarily gave me the name of another guide who sits next to him and said that he could help me if I could not get hold of him. So you may also want to try that, when leaving a message for your guide, besides asking for best time for him to call you back as well as best time for you to call him back, also ask for the name of another guide who may be able to help you.

Good luck!

My original E-mail had my guide as 320 I thought they were hiring Stitch's clan to man the DVC offices. Then a few days later Edwins E-mail came through.

I would call agian or even E-mail off Members web-sight might get you to your guide.

The general sales number for DVC that is provided on Disney's site is (800) 500-3990 and touch 1 after getting original message.
