Technical difficulties! Their entire website went belly up today.

I think some ticked off guest hacked in when they didn't release the CLDP today :rotfl:

It was probably the mad rush of Disney Visa holders flooding the system to get the discount for OCt, Nov, Dec! Glad I got mine in (just in time from what I can tell). Now we can contemplate our upgrade in peace knowing that no one can else book a package and sell out the resort!

that you CAN use the Dining Plan for the CP Dinner Packages

Have confirmed with several CM's that you can book a dinner package on the dining plan. They said they still need a credit card to guarantee the reservation, but that it won't be charged unless you are a no-show for your ADR (as you have to dine PRIOR to the shows this year and not after) or if you don't cancel ahead of time.

Now if this just doesn't beat anything I've heard yet...

I talked to a very nice CM tonight. First, she didn't think I'd have any trouble getting a reservation by calling first thing. So, that's good. Second, they were told last SATURDAY that they were not selling them till the 16th. They knew they were doing system upgrades so they moved it back a day. I asked why two CMs told me yesterday...today? She said that they didn't read their information correctly.

She still said "fingers crossed" for tomorrow though. I guess it's still not 100%.

Why would they bring the whole system down at 1:00pm EST...right in the middle of the Disney Visa Code? Which, by the way, I can NOT use for my stay at the Poly. They better not screw tomorrow up. I am SOOOO tired of all this calling at 7am.

I think something was fried during the upgrade. I read that on another thread where some CMs posted. I don't think the whole system going down was in the game plan, but they did know that the upgrade would mess up the CL packages so they moved them back. That's what the CM said tonight.

Sorry you couldn't use it for your Poly stay.

Fingers crossed for the morning!! :thumbsup2

I totally agree. I tend to believe that they didn't have a 'planned outage' of that magnitude during normal operating hours. It sounded more along the lines of some major IT infrastructure problems.
