When booking a CP dinner package are yor seats reserved for the CP? If so is seating based on when you reserve your package and on what tier of dinning for your package? If not is seating first come, first serve after you have finished your meal? Lots of questions to be answered before I make that phone call on August 15.

I haven't done it yet but I have read that it's first come, first served.

You are given a ticket for the time you chose. You then go to the pavillion a half of an hour or so prior to your show time and you stand in line. They open the seating for those who have the dinner package (it does not matter which tier restaurant you have) . Just prior to the start of the show, they then allow the people who are in the "stand by line" in to be seated.
Even if you have a ticket you should get there prior to the start of the show, if you wait until too late the seats will be filled, and then I'm not sure what they will do for you.
Last year we ate at the Coral Reef and ended up in line about 20 minutes prior to the show and line was past Morroco. We had seats pretty far back.

If you have the dining package, the seats you get will be good. I have never seen more than maybe the front 1/3-1/2 the theater filled with dinner folks. The seats are all fine. I have done it probably 10 times now, a wonderful evening.

Here is a short video I took last year of part of it..........

(Quality is marginal, it was shot on a digital still camera, with a video function)

Thanks for posting that video...I've never seen the candlelight processional before so now I'm even more excited. :thumbsup2

I have to disagree with Dan. We did the candlelight processional last year for the first time. We had tickets for the 5:00 show with a dinner at 8:00. It was raining that day. We were in line about 40 minutes prior to the show, and ended up with 'center' seats, but WAY back... about 6 rows from the back of the theatre. There were "LOTS" of 'reserved' seats in the covered section, that went unused during the performance. Every time someone asked, they were told the seats were reserved for the 'choir' guests.

We are trying it again this year. Hopefully, it won't be raining.

I agree with the previous post. In recent years there seems to be a lot more reserving of large numbers of seats for various "special" or "VIP" guests, who get priority over CP package people. It is kind of irritating, but at least the CP package people get seats. It's the walk-up guests who get left out, as there are not as many seats available for them as there used to be.

I guess my luck has not been as good as Dan's because last year our seats were pretty far back and to the left.
I would recommend getting line early so to get a seat farther up.

spotdot001, good question. I wondered the same thing about seating being based on where you dined for package. Glad to know it doesn't matter where you book pkg for.

Also, what time is the ideal time for this, 1st 2nd or 3rd show?
