Candlelight Processional Dinner - Watching & Waiting

Oh, that would make such a nice birthday gift for you. And you can just "park" on-line and keep checking for an opening instead of hanging on your phone for who knows how long.

Congratulations on your special upcoming birthday. pixiedust::bday:party:

Thanks..I'm hoping for a ressie Dec 3rd so I appreciate the pixie dust. :goodvibes

I saw a post on facebook that the CP pkgs will be available on August 26th and came right here to share, but see that others have already posted the information. Good luck to everyone that you get what you want!

Off to add a reminder on my calendar to call at 7am!

Depending on if I get a choice, trying to figure out which day I should try to do CP. Will be there Dec 16-22. Was thinking Saturday and Sunday will be crazy busy, what would you guys do?

Well, I can sleep late for the next 4 days and then the kids are back to school-It's going to be hard to convince myself that it is safe to sleep late...:rotfl:

I have never done the CP package before..any advice on which tier or restaurant..which seating is better for the CP, the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd show...how long before do i need to line up? We aren't adventerous eaters!! Thanks!

Last year we went on Saturday, Dec. 5th. I booked it as soon as I was eligible and had to settle on my 4th choice restaurant. (We like Coral Reef just fine, but I wanted a shorter walk from dining to the theater.) I would guess that Saturday and Sunday are favorite evenings and perhaps even Fridays. A lot of locals with APs come to this in addition to those of us down on vacation. I'm trying for a week night this year.

Finally, I get some good news today! After everyone having so much difficulty getting through this morning with the reservations for via napoli opening up. Do you think they will make it 90 days before the day you want to attend the CP. To help the call center from getting unindated with calls. I feel like many people could potentially be waiting for an hour+ just to get through.

Frankly, I think that on Aug. 26 we will be lucky to be on hold for an hour. My guess is that the lines will be overloaded and it will take many tries just to get something other than a fast busy signal.

:yay: I'm so pleased to hear this news! I have a horrible feeling though that our exam results come out on that day and I'm expected in school to see our school leavers for the last time. I'll have to check on it, but it would just be my luck after checking everyday for so long :faint:

Thinking about making ressies for this but wanted to know if you guys think my boys ages 9 and 11 would like it?? I wasnt sure if kids would like or not. Thanks

I'm no expert since I don't have kids, but I would tend to think that most kids would be bored by it since it's just a choir singing Christmas carols interspersed with a celebrity narrator telling the story of the birth of Christ. Now, don't get me wrong, I personally love it, this is just how I think a kid would tend to view it. On the other hand, if your boys like to go to church for Christmas services, they would probably like it.

The tiers are just pricing levels, so it's just a matter of what you're comfortable paying, unless you're using the DP, in which case I believe it's 2 TS credits regardless of what tier you choose. Since you're not adventurous eaters, the tier 1 restaurants would probably be your best bet.

When I was deciding on what show to do when I went a few years ago, I found out that for the 2nd show the time frame for booking the meal was between 3:30 and 4:30, which I though was so early that I was sure I'd want a second dinner before the end of the night, which I didn't really want to do. (Although I suppose you could do a late breakfast and consider the CP meal lunch.) The time frame for the 3rd show is more what I would consider dinner time (I believe 5:15-6:15), but my concern there was that I wouldn't have enough time to find a good spot for IllumiNations (the CP package now includes reserved seating for IllumiNations, but I think it's at the opposite end of the WS lagoon, so you'd really have to book to get over there). I therefore decided to go with the 1st showing, and the fact that it was a little cheaper didn't hurt the decision either. Of course, this was just my thought process, you're free to disagree with it. ;) For instance, I know that a lot of people prefer to do the later shows because they think that it's a better experience after the sun has gone down.

I'd say that if you're doing the package, getting in line 45 minutes to an hour before the show should be fine.

The day they go on sale is actually my 40th birthday. I'm not looking for CP package but just a plain ole ressie for Garden Grill. I'm hoping some might cancel their ressie and move to the CP. Here's hoping.... :worship:

Happy Birthday! My 40th is on the 24th. I hope you get your regular Garden Grill reservation!

We are there the same dates! We are shooting for the 17th or the 21st!

Hooray everyone!
I am so glad you guys finally have a date when you can call to make your ADR's for the Candlelight Processional Package!!!! Now everyone can get some sleep!!!!

So glad that they released a date for when to start booking the packages. I wonder if they were getting sick of people calling everyday.

We're hoping to get a package on Dec. 15th.

Couple of questions:
Do you have to prepay for the entire package? Or do you just need to put a desposit? And how does it work if you are going to use the dinning plan?

You don't have to pay up front. You do have to give your credit card number as a guarantee.

Thnks for posting the date - that is three days before we fly home from our August trip! I guess I know what I'll be doing in the hotel room that morning - it's just a shame it wasn't the week before when we were still at POFQ and just had to press one button to get through!

I was just coming to post that I had seen this news on twitter. Looks like the good news has already been posted and now those of you that have been calling can sleep in! Good luck to everyone on the 26th! I will be trying that day for Christmas Eve :scared1: with the 19th as a backup.

We (probably along with a lot of other people ;)) are trying for Christmas Eve too! I hope we both get what we want! :)

It is a huge relief to get a date, though. No more getting up every morning! :yay: :yay:

We don't care a whole lot who our narrator will be, but it will be fun to find out. Maybe Edward James Olmos? :)

Thanks hardly seems adequate to show my appreciation. :cheer2::cheer2:

What she said.:yay: Just having a date to call is a thrill. I know the phone wait times are going to be a bear but luckily I'm retired with no particular place to go. I don't really care about the restaurant, just hope to get a ressie while we are there. We've attended before and it is a truly lovely event.
I hope all of you are able to get what you want.:)

Is there somewhere I can see the restaurants that are participating along with pricing tiers? Thanks so very much! :)
Also, do the tiers change where you sit at cp?
