Candlelight Processional Dinner - Watching & Waiting

Trying for 12/24, preferably 2nd show (but that doesn't really matter so much) at Le Cellier, Teppan Edo, or Coral Reef. The challenge is that there will be either 11 or 13 of us. We have 'back up' ADRs @ Via Napoli at 545 but will let those go upon CP confirmation. Oh please please please...pixie dust do your thing on 8/26! We've been planning for this trip for 3 years and have never been at Christmas time. Hope to see some fellow DISers during our visit 12/18-12/25 @ SSR! :wave2:

We are hoping for 12/12/10 Le Cellier dinner :cloud9: We have never eaten there and I know that it will be changing to 2 TS credits soon---might as well get a CP for the 2TS while we can ;)

We are trying for Nov 29th at Tutto for the 6:45 show. I do have a question can they convert a ADR to the CP package????

I am hoping for Dec. 4th, and believe or not, Garden Grill! I already have a reservation there just in case I can't get a package. I have thought really hard about LeCellier but the more I read on DIS boards, the more I keep going back to Garden Grill which was my very first choice for the character meal. I compromised though, I told my TA to not even try for LeCellier, then I booked Kona for the next night based on reviews about the steak there, I hope I made the right choice, but I imagine I will love everything about the whole trip to Disney! I am a pretty easy person to please.

No, they can not convert an existing ADR into a CPP. But most people are holding existing ADRs for someplace in EPCOT that they will cancel once they have their CPP confirmations.

I would love to get Le Cellier on 12/24 along with the rest of the world. :rotfl: I would take any restaurant for any show on 12/24 or 12/21. I have ressies on 12/21 at Cape May Cafe and 12/24 at San Angel Inn. I'll cancel one when I get the CP package. If I can't get either of those days I'll take any show on any day of our trip and add park hoppers.
I agree with a PP. Since this is the first time we won't be at church for our Christmas Eve service I really want to have this special event to celebrate the birth of our Savior.

Guess we will have to wait and see... Three different CM's one at Guest services said it can be done. I have asked this question at different times throughout the month. Maybe its somthing new with thier new dining system?

My wonderful DU agent emailed me today with the August 26th date to book CP packages... I hope, hope hope that I can or she can get us Le Cellier for the 12th!!!!!!!

I would try to make my own reservation. I have used DU a few times before joining DVC and always had a more than pleasent expirence. However, I don't think the agents call right at 7am when the lines open up. I've always had more success in getting the times and places I want doing it myself than when I relied on an agent

Which restaurants are closest to where the candlelight processional is at? We are going to try and go 12/14. I have an almost four year old and want to get a good seat so she will cf able to see.

Italy and Japan border America where the theatre is located.

all of the restaurants on the "american pavillion" side are within a comfortable walking distance. If you prefer to eat at one of the places on the opposite side, just hop onto the friendship boat.

Remember though that the boats close early so you may not be able to use them if you attend the show.

Last year we ate at the Coral Reef. There was not a friendship boat in sight. As I knew it would be, it was a long walk. Garden Grill, in Future World would also be a long walk.

I just got off the phone with a CM and she spent a lot of time with me on the phone going over several details. I asked her about CP and pricing for 2010. The list of prices and restaurants that she gave me are the same as 2009. I specifically asked her if those were the 2010 prices and she stated that they were. Do you really think Disney is going to keep the prices the same as last year? It would be great, but knowing Disney, it's too good to be true! ;)

When you book the CP package, do you pay for the whole thing right then? If not, do they need a credit card to hold it? I haven't done ADR's before, but I want to make sure I can do this and since I'm getting the free quick service plan, I figure its worth it to pay for a nice sit down meal.
