We have been to the candlelight processional a few times in years past during Christmas week. We have always done the dinner package while attending the 8:15pm show. This year we are considering doing the "lunch" pkg and attending the 5pm show simply to try to save a little money. It has always seemed very magical and special going to the last show of the night. Will it still feel special going earlier? So I guess I am asking if those who have been at various times, do you have a preference to the earlier show or the later?

I prefer the later show since it is dark out and the "Candles" are aglow. The 5pm show is still kind of light out but no less magical

We did the 5 pm show on the 2 previous trips, and enjoyed it (can't compare to the later show) - yes, it's light when they start, but gets dark during the course of the program. Love the CP!

There is something more magical about seeing all those kids with lights, filling up the stage. It's still good early, but not as good.

We always go without reservations and find the first show much less crowded. I don't know if that would give you a better seat with the dining package or not.

Basically I gather from what you are saying is that with a package you get your meal before the show. They don't have any packages where you can eat afterwards if you do the first show. Is that correct? We have never been so if someone can explain how this all works I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

No You have to dine BEFORE the showtime. They changed it a few years back. The first show 5pm, is considered a lunch

We often stand in line as walk-ins for the earliest CP. Daylight or nighttime, we love the experience!
