Anyone know where I can find a good one and/or have any suggestions? My DD just hit us with this for her Christmas just as we thought we had her done!

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

Try Michael's Arts & Crafts. hey often have flyers with 40% off one item coupons every couple of weeks. :D

Remember, spilt wax is just as dangerous, if not more than spilt boiling water. Also, wax melting at too high a heat can catch fire. Make sure an adult is always supervising. But other than that, if she already helps out with the basics of cooking, than there shouldn't be any problems.:)

My DD (also 10) would probably like one of these as well. I have looked at these at Michaels - this is a great place to look for kits and candle making components.

I don't know if these would be safer - they have the "gel-like" wax stuff. It seems like it would be a little easier to use.

Oh yes, Michael's also has "melt & pour" soapmaking kits that work on the same principle. With the clear soaps, she can add colors, little charms and toys into the soaps, same as the gel candles. :)
