Cancun all inclusives???

Can anyone recommend a good one? Travelling with 5 kids ages 8-16.
Looking for a swimmable beach too, heard most cancun beaches are too dangerous for swimming.

We did Moon Palace in Cancun 4 years ago and are going back in 2012. Didn't take the kids though, dh and I went with another couple.

When traveling with the kids we really like the Iberostar resorts (and so do they). While I don't think they have a resort right in Cancun, they have several in the Riveria Maya area. We've stayed a couple of different ones and have always been happy with our experience.

Club Med gets rave reviews for it's calm beach.

If you would consider checking out Playa Del Carmen, look into Iberostar Tucan.

Depends on your price range, but I think Iberostar would be the best bang for your buck.

Those areas are nice, though be forewarned that all of the beaches in the Cancun/Playa/Riviera Maya area have rough water if the winds are high. During our stay in Cancun we were staying at the Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach which is protected by a reef (I believe the same is true for Club Med) so the water was calm during that stay, but we also went to Playa Del Carmen where we were not protected by a reef and two of our four days there we were not able to go to the beach. That being said, we still had a great time. The culture of Mexico is wonderful, but if your not the type of person who gets legitimately excited about marriachis, ruins, etc. and are just trying to find a beach vacation I would consider going elsewhere. For the record, the nicest water I've ever seen (and we've traveled the Carribbean extensively) is Grand Cayman.
