Cancelling vacation.....

Due to a family emergency, we won't be able to use our one day park to park tickets this Saturday as planned. I see at the bottom of my order confirmation from Universal it says all sales final. Does anyone have any insight or experience with them giving a ticket refund for certain circumstances, or is it pretty much pointless to try?

If so, how long would the ticket be good for? They aren't linked with a resort package.....

it's never pointless to try. If it's a family emergency, they probably won't do a refund, but will very likely extend a credit to use it another time.

I have tickets from 2005 and they are still valid

They were not promotional tickets but day tickets I bought so someday one of my kids could use

I have the AP so I bought tickets years back

Used some of the tickets two years back when I took my son with me
He used them with no problem

Since day tickets are going up in price, hang onto those tickets and use them in the future
They will be valid

Thank you so much for this info. It makes me feel so much better about it. On a side note, Disney was awesome and gave us every bit of our money back even though we technically could have been charged $200 and got no refund for our memory maker pkg. Plus the RPR agreed to refund us our one night stay even though we should have cancelled it yesterday technically. So all was not lost, and there are still really great customer service reps out there!!

UO is good with cancelling reservations due to weather or family emergencies

They have a policy in place but will make exceptions based on the reason of why a person needs to cancel

Sorry you had to cancel and hope all will be fine for you and the family
