Not sure whether to put this on the Dining forum or here:confused3 . I will be at WDW Sept 29th-Oct 7th for free dining, thanks to the Bounce Back Program. I booked it for me and my mom and it is paid for in full. However, my mom may have to cancel on me. She has a 70y/o sister whom she hasn't seen in awhile who has decided she may come spend two months with her. However, my aunt won't know until late summer if she's financially able to do it. If I wait that long to remove my mom from the ressie I'll have to pay a change fee. However, if I remove her now (before the 45 days limit), would it be possible to add her back to it later if my aunt can't make it for her visit and would I still have to pay a fee:confused3 . How easy would it be to add a person for free dining that late (or could I even do it)? I don't want to cancel my trip and have no problem going solo if I need to.

Also, I have already purchased us tickets for MNSSHP for Sept 30th. I don't believe they are refundable, but is there anyway I could change hers to another night and just go twice that week?

Thankfully, I haven't purchased airline tickets yet:rolleyes: .

I was just reading elsewhere that changes to packages are only charged a fee within 21 days of arrival.

If you aren't cancelling a room, then this would be a change so you should have until 21 days prior, then the change is only a $50 charge.

I was told the last time I modified a reservation las minute that if youfr change increases the cost of your package by more than the change fee ($50) that you wouldn't be charged the fee. Granted this was in 2005 so it could have changed, it could also be something they have to tell the computer to add and the guy may have just been being nice and not charged me.

So assuming you are staying in the same room, so dropping her from the ressie is a change 2 options - 1)so therefore wait it out and know that you will be stuck with the $50 fee if it is within 21 days. or 2)you could cancel her now before you get within the 45 days, get the refund, and add her back if she decides to come...and you may/may not be stuck with the fee.

or leave her on the reservation and take me instead.

I just saw the date on the page I was looking at (2004) and so I looked up the terms on Disneyworld.com and it states changes within the 45 days are charged. But that still leaves open the idea that you may not be charged the $50 if you add her back on later since adding her on will surely add on more than $50.
