Cancelling One Person On SW?

There were originally 8 of us booked to fly from BUF to MCO but now my sister is unable to join us since she just started a new job. How do we go about cancelling just her from the flight? I know how to cancel the whole flight but can you just cancel a person from the itinerary? Do I need to do this over the phone or can this be done online. The departing and returning flight were booked separately so I have two different confirmation #'s. Any info would be appreciated.

I did this once and if I remember correctly, I had to do it by phone. If you try to do it online and the entire party is under one confirmation #, you'll end up canceling your entire party.

I did this in April. My DH decided not to go with us. I just let the agent know when I checked in that he wasnt coming. I dont think it would matter if he just no-showed. The credit is still under the same locator number as the original flight.
