I wanted to earn point at mypoints, especially since there have been so few earning opportunities lately. Now I'm cancelling the memberships and boy, am I having trouble.

Autovantage - person was extremely rude, didn't give me a confirmation, refused to repeat her name (which I think was Adrina) and when she tried to hang up on me her line stayed open. My emails to them have bounced back in the past 2 days.

Connections - after being double shipped and double charged this one had to go. That was actually easier. Once I told her I wanted to cancel because of Customer service problems, she put it through and repeated her name and ID with no problem.

If you cancel keep a written record of everything. It helps when there's a credit card dispute.

Can't wait! Sept. 17-21!!!!:pinkbounc

I had a problem with the connections! It was a while back, I don't even remember which program it was that I got the points for signing up with them. I was supposed to be $1 for 30 days and then you could cancel. I used a webcertificate to sign up, it only had a few dollars on it. Well, I never could get them to cancel. I went to add a webcertificate to my account, and I was getting a funny error, and it gave me a number to call. Well, even though I only had a couple of dollars on my account, they still let connections charge about $70 to my card! Webcert told me I was responsible, etc.. I told them they were crazy for letting connections put that much on the card when it didn't have the money on it to cover it. I refused to pay the money! I had done everything possible to cancel the connections account and webcert would not dispute the charges, or help me in anyway.

I had mom set up a new webcert account in her name. I learned two lessons that day, no matter what anyone says, you can get a negative amount on a debit card, and I no longer just click the link that I get in the email for a webcert. I log in and check my account and then just copy and paste the code in the "get it" box. Because, by clicking the link, and then putting in my user name and password, they applied that money to the outstanding balance for connections. So, I lost that webcert.

Connections is the worst. I canceled my membership within the 30 day "free" trial offer period. They had already charged my credit card the $79.00. It took me SIX months to get the credit. I must have made over 8 calls to them and each time they assured me the credit was put through. What a nightmare.
