Canceling Dining Reservation-unable to online

My husband was helping me make ADR's at the 60 day mark and somehow on one of them rather than selecting his name as the lead guest, he typed his name in or something because it shows the reservation was made by DH but it has the generic mickey icon next to it instead of his normal character. Because of that it isn't letting us cancel it online since it wasn't linked to his actual MDE for some reason. We found a reservation for a better time to eat and want to cancel the original reservation. I saw a 407-WDW-CNCL number online (that people had mentioned was an automated system to cancel) but it just gives a weird message saying you are calling outside of shadow hours the last day or two whenever I've tried so I don't know if that number was disconnected. I know I could call the main Disney dining line but when I had tried to call before for a dining question I was on hold for over an hour. Is there a less time consuming way to cancel it if we aren't able to cancel it online?

Did you try cancelling it both on the website and on the app? If neither works, you may be able to use the online chat.

Yea we've tried on both website and on the app. No luck unfortunately. Didn't realize canceling via chat might be an option, will try that. Thanks!

In the past, I've been able to call in and use an automated system to cancel dining as long as I had the reservation number.

Yea I've done that before also which is making this frustrating. I do have the reservation number so it should work but having trouble getting to the automated system option. Do you know what number you've called? The CNCL number doesn't seem to be working and the only other number I can find is the main dining number which doesn't give an option to use an automated system.

Go to your friends and family page. There should be a friend that is your husband's name, but not his real account. Send that "friend" an invite to plan either with your husband's email or you can use a separate junk mail. Once you make that account, you can delete the reservation from that account.
