Canceled trip=new bigger and better 14 days of disney!!! Pre-TR

Oh yea, you just reminded me that dh got several tee shirts from old navy for christmas, but I think they are more of a undershirt...we'll see how they look alone. No worries...I do the same thing with little kids clothes! It fits...why not save the money? Plus the biggest size in little kids sometimes fits better than an xs in juniors for me. It just depends on what it is. Tee shirts I can do...long sleeves...are ify b/c I have long arms. Still haven't done my calendar...I am getting there. :)

I agree completely.....sometimes the girls' stuff fits me better anyway too. I'm still waiting for a calendar picture :) . I'm going to attempt to go to bed early tonight, so hopefully I'll talk to you tomorrow.

Calendar is in the process of being made...just have to put the mickey heads on and then it should be done. Picture might not come till tomorrow. We'll see. :goodvibes

Dh emailed me a list of where we are eating and what not today so I think I'll post that tomorrow because I think he forgot to put where we would be each day. The first full day is always Magic Kingdom though so thats where we will be on the 24th! The 23rd is the day we get there and we'll most likely go to downtown disney. Dh and I sat down tonight and made our countdown calendar. The mickey heads don't cover the numbers completely, but other than that I was very happy with my first project I made with my cricut expression! Also as promised I took some pics of our disney pin collection...well actually only the ones that are on the cork boards...we also have two books full of pins as well.

Our countdown calendar( everything is made with our cricut except for the stickers on top of each mickey head.)

We have a smaller board next to this one, but for some reason I didn't take a picture of it...or maybe dh just didn't post it for me. You get the idea though. :)

And here are some of my plush...I think some are at home in storage too, but the important ones are in this pic. As you can tell I love mickey and minnie!

I'll be back with the itinerary tomorrow. It might not be till later in the day though because I have to work tomorrow. :goodvibes

Love the countdown calendar! Very cute. :) I'm excited because this will be the first trip that I have my own pin collection.

The countdown calendar is absolutely adorable!!!! I'm jealous. I love the picture of your pin collection too. We're still trying to figure out how to display ours. We're thinking about having a friend of DH make us a custom frame to fit at the top of our entertainment center, but I'll probably pick up one of the pin books to use until then.

thank you and thats awesome! I love trading pins! The first year I was really shy and last year I was still a bit shy, but not as much. I have about a 100 to trade so I am hoping that keeps us from having to buy traders. If I trade 100 pins i'm more crazy than I thought. :rotfl2: Also though I have to try to save some traders for the cruise b/c they do a pin trading night with the crew and thats where I got a lot of my pins in july when we cruised. Dh got them on ebay in a lot last year sometime so they were dirt cheap. Happy trading!

Aww thank you! Don't be jealous...like I said the heads don't even cover up the numbers completely, but they couldn't be made any bigger due to the ears already going into the other squares at the size they are. When we get a house someday in the way off future I'd like to make shadow boxes for some of our pin sets. I've seen people on here who have done it and turned out wonderfully. I'm thinking I could even embellish the shadow box with some stuff made from the cricut:thumbsup2

Awww love the calendar! I think when dbf and I move in April I'll have to do one!

I know I said I was going to post our Itinerary yesterday, but I was very tired last night so I just went to bed at nine and didn't get a whole lot done, but the good news is since I went to bed at nine I got lots of sleep and I am getting tons done today! Dh dosen't really have an itinerary...its basically wherever we eat that day is the park we're going to be at, but we have hoppers so we can hop if we want to. So here are our adr's:

1/23- We are flying out of Richmond airport and are scheduled to arrive at Mco at 4:25 pm. We are taking Magical Express to AKL. We'll check in and then either go to DTD or the Contemporay is hosting a pin night this night for free and its open to guests of all ages. So I am pretty excited...you can bet we'll be there! Its from 6-9...I'm sure we won't stay the whole time so I am hoping we'll be able to catch dinner at Earl of Sandwich in DTD...we ate there the first night last year and it was delicious!

1/24- We have two traditions when it comes to our disney trip...well I'm sure we have a few others, but the first two are...the first day is always Magic Kingdom day and we always have breakfast at Crystal Palace as well. So we have adr's for Cp at 9:15 this morning. Then I'm sure we'll head on over to Fantasy land so we can try to catch those before the lines get to long. We have already said that we won't be riding snow white if the line is to long, but the rides we talked about going on in Fantasty Land are IASW, Peter Pan and the many adventures of winnie the pooh. Am I missing any? Mickeys Philharmagic is going to be under refurb and I am pretty sad about this since I love it! Theres always next time right? I'm not sure where we'll head from there, but I'm sure we'll have a wonderful day in MK!

1/25- Today we're going to be at Epcot, which is typical for us to do on the second day. Maybe another tradition if you will. First stop will be fast passes for Soarin' if the line is to long. Dh really wants us to ride test track, but I am a wimp and I'm scared that I'm not going to like it. We have adr's for Garden Grill at 5:50 pm. We ate here last year and loved it...the food was delicious and I love that it rotates while you are there so you get to see different scenes from living with the land. If you haven't ate here its a must and also the characters spend a decent amount of time at the tables so that is a bonus too! We'll try to do World Showcase, but we usually end up being to tired to make it all the way around...so we might or might not do it. We'll see what happens. We have a bad habbit of being in france and needing to get to the front of the park in a matter of a short time for adr's so hopefully we'll plan well and this won't happen because thats quite the hike! Of course we'll see Illuminations as well...I've never seen it when it wasn't the Christmas one and even though I know they aren't a lot different I am still excited to see it!

1/26- Today is a DHS day...or MGM...it will always be MGM to me...I know there are a lot of people out there who agree. First up will be fast passes for TSM....I can't wait for this ride! If the line isn't to long then I'm sure we'll just hop right on. We have adr's for 3:55 at Brown Derby and we have the Fantasmic dinner package, which I am stoked for because I love Fantasmic. We usually try to catch it a few times while we are in disney since I love it so much! We MUST SEE Beauty and the Beast stage show because we've gone two years in a row now and missed it both years so we won't be missing it this year gosh darnit! If your wondering why we're eating so early its because we booked the trip in Dec...not exactly the 180 days out that they recommend so we told our travel agent from Dreams Unlimited the places we wanted to eat and just to get us in whenever there was spots open as close to meal times as possible...well Brown Derby had very limited availability so thats what we ended up with and thats just fine by me. All I care about is that Fantasmic priority seating...guarantees ya a spot!

I'm going to hold off for the rest right now. I have to take Perla to the vet in a bit and I still haven't gotten ready for the day because I've been busy doing the treadmill and laundry. I'll be sure to finish the itinerary later on though...maybe when we get back from the vet. Wish me luck...I hate taking her...she screamed so loud last time they gave her a shot that I think the whole stinkin' street of businesses heard her. I've never heard a cat scream that loud and they are giving her another shot today, but its the last one...yay! :goodvibes

Okay, I'm back with the rest of the Itinerary. Here it goes...

1/27- Normally this would be a AK day and I think it might be the first half, but we do have adr's at CRT for 4:05. I love CRT with all my heart since first of all its in Cinderella's castle and she is my fave, but also because we got engaged here December 16th 2006. So it holds a special place in my heart...even if it is over priced and the food isn't the best. I wanted breakfast here because we did that last year and it was a lot of fun with all the princesses, but since we canceled our dec trip we lost that reservation obviously and had to make a new one and sadly couldn't get in for breakfast:( The upside is we could possibly see an engagement since we are going to be there for dinner! I would love that! I am hoping we get seated by the windows, but I am not holding my breathe. I don't know if they are showing wishes this night...but if they are perhaps we'll stick around for that since we'll already be there and maybe catch some other things that we need to still catch.

1/28-Today is going to be an AK day...if we don't do it at all the day before like I mentioned then it'll be a full blown AK day, but if we do catch some stuff then we'll just catch what we didn't and do our lunch at Tusker House at 1:25 and go see Nemo...we have priority seating!!! So excited! We aren't thrill ride fans so AK dosen't typically take us all day to get through. Also I have to be honest...although I am an animal lover...I really dispise going to AK because if its warm out...then it seems to be about 10 or 15 degrees warmer here without any shade and also all the walking...it takes forever to get anywhere here. I sound super whiny, but seriously I feel like this is a huge park and my feet are killing me by the end of the day. I'm a fan of walking, but everything is so stinkin stretched out...AK days tend to make me a little cranky. Hehe. If you haven't seen Nemo though I highly recommend it! We saw it last year for the first time and LOVED IT!

1/29- Today we have ADR's at Coral Reef for noon so if we haven't been all the way around the world showcase I'm sure today will be the day that it happens and I am also hoping to get to the park and get a fast pass for Soarin' before we go to lunch. I've never ate at Coral Reef for lunch, but I'm sure the menu's are similar. I heard though that they don't make the custom menu's anymore and that made me sad because dh would always suprise me with one with pictures of our past trips and of our wiener dog Zoey from home b/c he knows I'd be missing her. So sweet! So I'm sad to hear the menu's are no more. The past two years we've ate here we have been very lucky to sit next to the tank so I am hoping for that again this year. I remember not really caring last year that we ate here...it didn't seem to be up to par. Does anybody else feel this way? Hopefully its better this time around!

I'll finish the last few days tonight...I need to run to the store and try to go tanning too...while I'm not super white...I need to get a little tanner before disney...more so for the fact that we're going on the cruise afterwards...I don't want to burn in the bahamas. Even though I was pretty darn tan last year I still did burn a tiny bit...so I'm trying to ensure that dosen't happen. I only have a little bit of time...we're down to 13 days 20 hours 3 mins and 29 seconds. Lol. Gotta love my disney count down on my desktop!

I also have a special suprise announcement about our cruise so I'll announce that later on too!

I just LOVE Earl of Sandwhich!!

What's the suprise announcement???

Hey~We have ADRs at Brown Derby on the 26th too. Ours our for 4:05! That pretty much puts us there at the same time. Plus, if you guys come to the Contemporary for the pin event, we might meet you there. Since we're staying there, we thought about checking out the pin event. Let me know what you think. We also have ADRs at Epcot for lunch on the 25th, so that might work too.......now I'm getting really excited!

Dh pointed out the fact that you guys were going to be at brown derby right at the same time as us...I hope we get seated by each other...that'd be cool...knowing my luck though it won't happen...your so cute! I'm super excited too! I've never met a dis friend before! I can be shy in person, but hopefully since we've been talking on here...I'll be fine. Hehe. I'm pretty much sure you can count us in for the pin event! Also we can exchange cell numbers via private message...so we can text/call if we can't find each other for some reason. Its dinner time, but I'm going to finish the itinery later on and tell the suprise about the cruise as well! Oh and my stuff I bought today for vacation. Hehe...13 days so excited!

I have never met a Dis friend either, but one of my best friends is from a mommy message board I started on while I was pregnant with Addy. We've met up several times. Don't worry, I'm kind of shy too. We'll definitely exchange cells before we leave......however, fair warning that ours didn't work too well the last time we were at Disney. If nothing else, when we check in to the Contemporary I'll make sure you know what room we're in.

I can't wait to hear about the surprise on the cruise........did you DH plan something cool again? I can't wait to see what you bought for your vacation. I think I'm going to try to work on our t-shirts this weekend. However, my friend and I are going to see Marley & Me tomorrow, so I probably won't get much done then :) .

I'm going to finish posting the itinerary now because I am getting sleepy. I had a migraine early and took my medicine which makes me sleepy so most likely I'll be going to bed around 9 or 9:30 for the third night in a row, which if you know me is very out of character...I am very much a night owl.

1/30- We have breakfast ADR's for 1900 Park Fare at 9:15 am. We had dinner there last year and I loved it! We got to meet both of the step sisters, Cinderella, the step mother and also one of the mice. I love suzie and perla...they are so adorable! Probably one of the reasons I named my kitty Perla. She did well at the vet yesterday by the way. She got a little bit mad, but they took her out of the room to give her the shot and trim her nails and she came back and seemed quite content once I put her in her carrier. And we gave her wet cat food as a treat for dinner so she was happy as a clam. Today is our last day at disney world and usually on the last day we park hop and do our faves or anything that we might of missed and also go back to buy anything that we might of wanted, but didn't get. We window shop a lot through out the trip to make sure there isn't something better we'll like better and then I just write down if I like something and where it was that way if I still want it then I just reference what I wrote and go get it. :thumbsup2 We also have adr's at California Grill at 5:50 pm. We've never ate here, but I've heard good things about it so I'm pretty excited to try it out!

1/31- We check out of AKL and take disney transportation to Port Canaveral to get on board the Disney Magic for our seven day cruise!!! We cruised the wonder in July so I am super excited not only to cruise again, but also to do the magic since we did the wonder last time since they both differ slightly.

Day one-we set sail...there is a castaway party, which is pretty cool...its basically introducing the cast members and mickey and minnie are there as well as some other friends and they sing and dance on the top deck. Nothing else major really happens this day since we debark.

Day two and day three- these are our at sea days.

Day four-We'll be at St. Croix...we've never been here, but I heard its awesome so i can't wait!

Day five-st. thomas/st. john...again never been here so we are very excited as we've heard good things!

Day six-At sea again today on our way to disneys private island Castaway Cay

Day seven- Today we're at Castaway Cay...we did the sting ray adventure in july on our honeymoon and I'm happy to say that although I was scared to do it last time I enjoyed myself so we are doing it again this time around! Before anyone freaks out...their barbs are manicured so they can't sting. Its a blast and I highly recommend it! I'm super excited to do it again!

Day eight-We wake up and we're back at port and have to get our sea legs back...this was hard on me last time after four days so I can't imagine after seven days. I kept feeling like the land was rocking like the boat did and when I looked down or up to fast I'd get slightly dizzy. Not a huge deal, but kind of annoying. Our flight isn't until 7:30 this evening b/c they say not to schedule a flight before 1:00 due to the fact that you might not get through customs and what not in time to get back to the air port...the line is long once you debark the ship. We stood there for a bit in july, but it wasn't horrible.

Now my exciting news!!! DH kept texting me yesterday morning telling me to wake up because he had exciting news and to call him. So I did and he told me that our travel agent from Dreams Unlimited had emailed him to tell us we got a free upgrade on the ship!!! We did have a Category 6 and now we're a category 4!!! This dosen't really mean anything to anyone so let me explain. The category 6 is a deluxe stateroom with verandah. And the category 4 is a deluxe family stateroom with a verandah. Its basically just a little more room and a pull down bed either from the wall or ceiling for extra sleepers...obviously we don't need that. The room is slightly larger though than the other one so thats exciting to have a bit more room! Also the price difference is about $2,000 so thats pretty exciting! We're stoked! Thank you Disney Cruise Lines...you made us super happy campers!!! Gotta love a little Pixie dust! :wizard:

This afternoon I made a trip to Michaels and Target. At Michaels I got some disney stickers to decorate the envelopes for Mousekeeping while we are at Disney World. I'm going to make those this weekend hopefully and decorate them. And at target I got a few things...I'm not done getting everything, but I got the following:

~2 water cameras for the cruise (they are $10 at target and about 15-25 on the island...disney really socks it to ya...no offense I love you disney, but come on thats a rip!)

~a tiny first aid kit...we might not even take this, but I got it just in case and it was only 97 cents so what the heck

~a pop up hamper because we are going to have to do laundry at AKL to have clean clothes for the cruise. Since it folds down to nothing it'll take up hardly any room in our suitcase. Love these things! Never done laundry at disney, but we can't take clothes for two weeks b/c it'd mean extra luggage (for me at least) and extra luggage means extra money to the airlines and also less room in our stateroom on the cruise.

~markers to decorate the mouse keeping envelopes too!

Like I said I didn't buy much, but the fact that I already bought some stuff got me excited! I will admit I didn't tan. My migraine threw me off today and made me feel blah so I wasn't in the mood to go tan...sometimes the heat makes things worse. I have plans to go tomorrow though. I am also going to Kohls to see if I can find a outfit for semi- formal night on the ship! Wish me luck!

I hope that you feel better soon......I have migraines (well, that's what they were until recently........now we've found they've probably been masking another issue) so I know how rotten they are.

How excited that you got an upgrade on the ship. Maybe DH and I's next vacation will be a cruise. He really wants to take one, but he also can't swim, and we're both a little worried that he'll get out in the middle of the ocean and he'll freak out because he can't see any land :scared1: . That actually happened to him once when he was driving across one of the really long bridges in New Orleans.........he called me because he was pretty freaked out.

I hope you find something cute at Kohl's..........I so wish we had one close to us. I find so many cute things for the girls there. Unfortunately, the closest one is 3 hours away :sad1: .

Thanks...it went away pretty quickly b/c I try to take something as soon as I feel them coming on...I hate migraines! My mom passed hers on to me...of all the things a mother can pass on...and I get her sinus issues and tendency towards migraines. I still love her more than anything though! Aww i'm sorry you live so far away from kohls...there is always kohls online though hehe. Not to be an enabler...I am pretty good at that though. I fell asleep for about two hours and now I can't fall back asleep...how aggravating. And dh was being a wiggle worm in bed so I got up to come sit in the living room and check my email and stuff. Hopefully I'll get sleepy soon since its one am. I hate it when he is restless and wiggles and I already can't sleep. Sometimes at disney I sleep in the other bed so I can avoid that since we are both super tired from being in the parks and I want to be able to get a good nights rest. It did bother me a little bit that I couldn't see land, but the full moon lighting up the ocean was amazing! So that made up for it. What freaked me out most was when we debarked the first day and I didn't know we were moving then I looked out our sliding door to the verandah and land is moving by us...that caught me off guard. Going to try to go back to bed. :thumbsup2

This is already a great pre-trip report! Congratulations on your upgrade on the ship; that's amazing!

How sweet that he proposed at Disney! :lovestruc Do you have any pictures?

Can't wait to follow along for the ride! :thumbsup2
