We all have our limits as to how far to go to support Canada in these difficult times. It is a very personal decision.
It is very hard not to travel. We own 2 timeshare properties in Orlando and still have to pay the Maintenance Fees (almost C$4,000 after exchange) and we aren't using them for the foreseeable future. That is a sacrifice I am willing to make for another 3 years with the expectation that we will return to our home away soon enough.
Hardest for me right now is struggling with what to do about my new truck (and future transport to WDW). I ordered it back in November and the salesman assured me that almost all of this model gets built in Oshawa for our market. I just found out that one feature I ordered (the colour, er, color) is not produced in Canada, so I will be getting a US built truck (if GM ever builds it; 4+ months waiting with no sign). Do I refuse delivery? But then all the other trucks in this class are built in the US anyway, so my options are limited.
It's agonizing to make these decisions and I respect everyone who struggles with it. I respect the painstaking decision making. Do what feels right for you, do your part as you see fit.
