I have to jet to work, but just wanted to let others know about my deeply disappointing morning where I dealt with my local FC and called the 877 number to discover that there is nothing at FC that isn't offered at the Disney website. They've taken away everything. The 5-day PH they are selling are slightly less than the Disney ones, but there is nothing bigger as of about a month ago, I was told.
So, I was offered three days less for $200 more (for two adults, two kids). I am fighting tears.

US patrons have bought park hoppers in the 5 day range and added 1 day to each park hopper. I think the price was in the 5 dollar range per day to add at park. Some mentioned that the first cast member they spoke with said they could not do that so the guest ased to speak to a supervisior that took care of everything. I am not sure how the upgradeing will work with the flight center tickets though. Hope you feel better about things for the up coming trip.

Several people have been reporting that you can add days (beyond 5 days) to your tickets at the DLR ticket booths without a problem.

No worries:goodvibes. As stated previously those three extra days will cost you and extra $15 per person.

i ordered my 6 day hopper about 2.months ago shortly before the announced price increase . Have u doubled.checked with any other locations in case their info wasnt current? i hope that my passes will be accepted at the Gate :worried::worried:;

Sorry to hear it but I'm not too surprised. We bought ours at FC (only 5-day hoppers but at the old prices) on June 3, and I knew the old tickets were going fast then. But like they mentioned, you can definitely upgrade for not too high a price at the gate so all is not lost! :goodvibes

Not to worry. As long as the pass hasn't expired you are good to go!
(all passes have an expiration date)

Don't worry. All 2012 tickets purchased before the increase that need to be used in 2012 are good through the end of the year. You will be fine.

Thanks for all the advice. Yes, I know we can add two days (as far as I know, no one has been able to get more than a 7-day, correct?) for another $40 (4 tickets, 2 days, $5 per ticket per day), but I just feel SO foolish for trusting my local FC office and not having anything *in writing*. They were SO confident in May that the 8-day PH were going to be available, no worries. I was dumb and wanted to make sure other details of our plans got nailed down before purchasing them, and it will cost us one day in the park and $200 more in ticket costs.
But I did have the afternoon to re-think some plans. I've decided that if they don't want my money, they don't want us to buy more snacks, another lunch for five, they don't want to give my three kids another chance to bug me for some merchandise in the park, fine. We'll go to Legoland, as people who have been say my brood (boys 2, 4, and 7yo) are prime for that park. We'll stay in Carlsbad, too, so an Anaheim hotel will lose out on one or two nights of us staying there. My kids will see more of SoCal. Once I got more annoyed than sad, I remembered that SoCal is a giant place with plenty of other things to do. So if they don't want us because they're more afraid of international travelers selling the end days of their PHs than they are afraid of losing a chance to shake more cash out of me, OK then. :p
It's just frustrating to re-jigger the schedule, which involves friends from NoCal probably coming to meet us for Halloween at the start of our trip and OC friends coming to the first day of Holiday time with us at the end of it, so there is no shortening the days spent on the other side of the continent. We're just shifting how we'll spend the time in between. :)
Maybe we'll just get another day at the :beach:

Actually if you go back a page or two,in the posts, someone upgraded to an 8 day hopper:thumbsup2

Ah, I think that was a 6-day upgraded to an 8-day, not a 5-day, meaning no one gets to add more than two days at the lovely $5/day rate, but I will look around for reports. :)

Susie63, thank you very much for taking the time to provide that link. I had read that thread a while ago, but remembered the other posters, not the OP with a 5-day PH, with their 6-day PH and CityPasses. Well, it is a tantalizing possibility. I hope it works out when I try. I just SO wanted the FC passes so a) I wouldn't have to spend the time and effort at the ticket booth upgrading or b) spend even MORE time at the ticket booth talking to five CMs before I finally get one who know s/he can do what I am asking. :p
We shall see!

I hope it works out for you. It's always bad when your plan gets a wrench tossed in it.I should inquire on the Aussie board and see if they can still get 14 day hoppers.

Please let us know how it works out:wave2:

We ordered our 7 day PH from Air miles a few weeks ago, and they had 5 and 6 day passes too. I think our tickets (4) were only 1200 Airmiles too.

Madmaxx, that sounds awesome. I've never tried to order anything with our Air miles; we've just accrued them. That seems like a really generous, low number of miles for four tix. Did you have a promo or something?

I am at this site
https://www.airmiles.ca/arrow/ProductTicketingDetails?productId=prod10355&300054=5700046
and only see 3-day or 5-day, with the 5-day costing 1940 miles for an adult ticket.
Am I missing something? Did you book the rest of your vacation with them and perhaps get a deal?

For four of us it was 7000 for 7 day PHs ... I had remembered the Visa point cost for our hotel deposit (oops).

Was this a bit of time ago, even only a couple of months ago, so that the offerings have changed? I only see Airmiles offering 7-day passes for WDW not DLR.
I also noticed that they offer both Airmiles Legoland tickets (500 for kids, 575 for adults for Hopper tickets) and discounted LL tickets for cash--40% off LL's website's prices. So, I definitely owe you a big thanks for leading me to the Airmiles site!

It was less than a month ago and it was on the airmiles.ca site (not the .com). Looking there now, the 7 day option is definitely gone, which is unfortunate as 5 days never feels like enough.

Thank you so much for checking into that. I guess I just really *just* missed the boat for Disney allowing any more decent-length passes to be sold to Canadians.
