Thanks for all the advice. Yes, I know we can add two days (as far as I know, no one has been able to get more than a 7-day, correct?) for another $40 (4 tickets, 2 days, $5 per ticket per day), but I just feel SO foolish for trusting my local FC office and not having anything *in writing*. They were SO confident in May that the 8-day PH were going to be available, no worries. I was dumb and wanted to make sure other details of our plans got nailed down before purchasing them, and it will cost us one day in the park and $200 more in ticket costs.
But I did have the afternoon to re-think some plans. I've decided that if they don't want my money, they don't want us to buy more snacks, another lunch for five, they don't want to give my three kids another chance to bug me for some merchandise in the park, fine. We'll go to
Legoland, as people who have been say my brood (boys 2, 4, and 7yo) are prime for that park. We'll stay in Carlsbad, too, so an Anaheim hotel will lose out on one or two nights of us staying there. My kids will see more of SoCal. Once I got more annoyed than sad, I remembered that SoCal is a giant place with plenty of other things to do. So if they don't want us because they're more afraid of international travelers selling the end days of their PHs than they are afraid of losing a chance to shake more cash out of me, OK then.

It's just frustrating to re-jigger the schedule, which involves friends from NoCal probably coming to meet us for Halloween at the start of our trip and OC friends coming to the first day of Holiday time with us at the end of it, so there is no shortening the days spent on the other side of the continent. We're just shifting how we'll spend the time in between.

Maybe we'll just get another day at the
