Canadian ticket upgrade attempt

Hi,
I bought 4 day tickets on the last day of the sale for my 2 ds, 19, 14. I bought a ten day Canadian ticket for myself. I am planning on going to a work conference the week after our family vacation.

I was able to upgrade my ticket to an annual pass on the phone a few weeks ago.

My plans slowly evolved from staying offsite to staying at Port Orleans FQ 2n, then the dolphin for 3n. It also evolved to staying from Aug 30 rather than leaving Aug 30, as my 19 ds is a Star Wars fan.
So naturally, now I am thinking a park hopper might work out for us.

When I upgraded my ticket to an annual pass, I asked about adding a PH to the 4 day tix. The cast member told me I would have to pay 25% more as upgrading my tickets voided the Canadian deal. He did not give me a price though. I did the math, it’s about a 367$ us difference for the two tickets. I looked at adding one more day with the PH and it would be 402$.

So I called today to upgrade my tickets, and the cast member said I would need to upgrade my tickets in person as she couldn’t access the Canadian deal prices now that the deal was not offered.

I have gone down to Orlando every year for the last 4 years, and can’t help noticing the Canadian dollar is always lower in the fall, so I’d like to upgrade before that. Anyone have any luck with upgrading on the phone?

I have had difficulty even adding days on the phone. Can we even do that?

I'm sorry I don't have an answer for you. I can just confirm I was unable to do anything with my tickets purchased at home until we got there, which is useless for FP purposes.

It is odd that they allowed you to upgrade your 10 day ticket to an AP without issue .

How much did it cost to upgrade your 10 day to an AP? Did that also negate your Canadian ticket deal?

I paid the amount of the annual pass minus the amount I had paid for my 10 day ticket. So, no discount there in the end. I am considering doing an extra hours event instead of upgrading the ticket now though.
It works out to almost the same cost to pay for the 3 of us as the upgrade for the two tickets, and we could still do two parks on one of the days that way. I would get a discount from my AP too. Make some lemons into lemonade.
