Canadian Resident Tickets available for DL!!!

Well... a bit of confusion on the linked page. It does say very clearly non expiring. But - when you get down to the bulleted bottom section it says the tickets must be used within 14 days of first use.

So I'm thinking a phone call to clarify is def in order. smh.

I think it means that there is no "first use" date for the tickets. Normally tickets say they must be first used by Dec 31, 2016 or something like that, and then the remaining days must be used within 14 days, but these don't. However, once the first day of these tickets are used the rest of the days must be used within 14 days.

Holy! What a deal! Now, maybe a friend or two will want to join me on a trip or two before my AP expires.

It has always been the policy that you must use your tickets within 14 days of first use. I just got mine for 7 days and saved almost $400.00 US dollars!!!

Getawaytoday was unable to price-match, but I had no problem getting a refund. So I will be purchasing these. Thank you Disney! Definitely takes the sting out of all the other expenses, given the exchange right now!!
So glad it worked out. I'm just waiting to hear back from Flight Centre. I'm glad to hear that you were able to get a refund because the rep I spoke to wasn't sure if a refund was possible. It will be helpful to know when I speak to her that you got one. I'll be using that if I need to!

Yipee!!! I just heard back from Flight Centre. She had to phone their supplier (?) and is able to refund me the original purchase price and resale of the same tickets at the discounted price! I'm very pleased with their customer service. Thanks ncarrier for bringing this to our attention. I do love my Disboards! :thanks: :dogdance:

Hi - mine told me (Flightcentre as well), that we couldn't get the discount. What city are you in? I think she just assumed that it wasn't a possibility. I just bought my kid his ticket today, but my brother bought his ticket a few weeks ago. They were able to do it by calling supplier?

I'm in Powell River but I don't know where she was located. I think because I had bought them only two days ago when the Disney discount was already in effect is why they were able to give me the lower price. It became available September 13th and I had purchased them on the 14th. That's the only difference I could imagine might justify their response. :confused3

Nice! :thumbsup2

So glad it's helping everyone! My other motive for posting the info was that only all of you fellow Dis people understand how excited I was to see this lol! My friends and family think it's nice to get a discount but don't quite share my (over)enthusiasm over finding this! Glad to have some fellow people to share the excitement and great deal with :)

I can't believe it! I just bought tickets two days ago from Flight Centre for three of us. This would have saved us at least $300. Does anyone know if there would be any chance of getting a refund from them? I guess I could just call Flight Centre... And I'll go read my tickets...
Aargh.
But an awesome deal. I hope you all get to use it!

I was hoping flight centre would end up having this as an option since their exchange rate is so great! I called today and no such luck, but the agent suggested I call back next week after the offer has been active for awhile.

I would have no qualms about ordering from the Disney website. I ran the numbers using my bank's currency converter and it came out very nearly the same as what I ended up being charged by Flightcentre.

Good to know. When I did the math, the discounted price converted to CAD ended up being almost at par with the USD price, so it's like it pays for the bad dollar exchange rate.

Question...I think I read that if you buy it from Disney site, then it's a 'will call' type pick up, meaning you get the tickets when you get there. Does the pick up take a lot of time? (Still worth the discount, but just wondering)

When I purchsed mine yesterday, will call was not listed as an option. I could print at home for free, or pay $5-15 extra for mail options. I printed at home, and have happily added it to my AP vouchers to take to the turnstiles!

Edited to add - two of our party will not be staying on vacation as long as the rest of us, poor peoples!

It looks like they expire January 2018
