Canadian Magic ~ June 10, 2012

Unfortunately, we have had to cancel this cruise. DH works for American Airlines and it appears he will be part of the downsizing (and that's with 16+ years of service). Wish we could make it work, however, the date appears to coincide with the end of work for him and we just don't want to take the chance.

Enjoy your trip!!!

Hey Local Canadian Friends. As I'm looking at the Port Excursions, our goal is to see Puffins. Which excursions do you see that would accomplish that goal?

Oh dear! I just realized that I never posted on this thread! I've been in the Facebook group, but I guess I haven't been paying attention! I guess it's just my old age showing!:rotfl:

Anyway, we're just two adults, I'm Beth, and DH is Jim. We're a "60-ish" couple, and we're celebrating Jim's retirement (if he ever actually submits his paperwork!) with this cruise. It will be my 13th and his 12th Disney cruise!

Just stopping in to say hi. The boards have been so slow lately. They finally load and it takes me twenty minutes to get a reply box to post in. Not sure what is going on.

I hope everyone is doing well. I checked out some of the excursions but for now we have no real plans. I did want to zip line but don't see it offered so we may have save that for our warmer cruise on the Fantasy later this year.

I can't believe that overnight excursion! WOW!!! I'm wondering if that price is a per person. It's a bit out of this world for our cruise that's less than $2K.

Someone also posted on our f/b page a link to someone who makes personalized magnets (to decorate your stateroom door). He has one already made for our cruise dates and I posted that right on the f/b page. You may want to check it out.

Well it's only a few months until we cruise so I guess we need to come up with a name for our group. If you can suggest them here we can set up a poll and take a vote.

I'm brain fried right now so I have nothing to offer.

Hi, guys. I just wanted to drop in and let you know that my cruise plans have all changed since they released the rest of the 2013 itineraries. Unfortunately, I will not be joining you on this trip, but I know you're all going to have a great time!

Please wave to the Statue of Liberty for me!

Sorry you won't be joining us, but I completely understand. Have to say I'm a bit jealous of your transatlantic cruise!

Will you be joining the Fish Extender exchange? If so, PM me - there is a link in my signature for the current list.

Sorry you will not be cruising with us, but enjoy the TA - I loved the one I did in 2005!

general note - the FE list is up to date as of today!

As of today here are the FE stats:

17 cabins
44 adults
5 kids :thumbsup2

I do not recall what we had all decided for a close date - 30, 45, or 60 days.
30 days = May 10
45 days = April 25
60 days = April 10

Please - comments and ideas about this?

Cayla

I will post the close date on the spread sheet once we had decided.

Cayla,

We don't have alot of experience - But I do agree with some of the past post on going with 60 Days. For those custom gift 30 days is a little short in time. And cutting off at 20 cabins sound perfect. I know we are getting pretty excited and can't wait.:smickey:

Our vote is for 60 days but we could handle 45 days. Thirty days seems way too short to get organized for me.

That said, we are SO EXCITED!

:thumbsup2Agree.

unless there is a sudden ground swell - we will close this list on April 10. If anyone joins after that date - they may or may not receive gifts from everyone on the list.

I put the close date on the spreadsheet.

I will break the group up if the number of cabins exceeds 30 (that would make it 15 in each group). However - if you wish to do both groups - that is acceptable as well. Just let me know (assuming we get to those numbers) we are at 17 cabins now. Is everyone ok with this?

Any thoughts on how to split it? by deck or fore/aft?

Sounds good! :cool1: If we need to split the groups, I suggest we do so by deck.

Splitting it by deck? :confused3 Were is the fun in that?:yay: I consider walking up and down and all around the ship entertaining and part of my workout routine. :lmao: If it's divided by deck people are more inclined to give out all the gifts at one time, were if you have a bit of waliking to do :scared1: you will spread it out and people might get gifts for several days. Just saying
