Is anybody besides Patty and i taking the train to Penn Station the morning of the cruise? If so were are you getting on the train at and what time?

So I cna book excursions and everything else tomorrow (90 days!!!!).

What is everyone thinking of excursions. Not a ton excited us. I would love to see the Bay things but hubby doesn't want to spend most of the day on a bus.

In Halifax kids my 12DS wants to do the Red Coat for a day. If we don't get that we might do the Lobsters and Lighthouses.

In St John we might do the Maple Syrup Tour and Brunch. Hoping the timing works to combine that with the History in Stone tour.

Want to book the Rasul Spa treatment for hubby and I and also a brunch at Palo. Hopefully get those on opposing Sea days.

Getting excited, just wish we weren't the first so we could at least get some idea of how it will all work.

I'm going to get up tonight just before midnight and hopefully get a Palo brunch. We too are planning the Rasul spa. Loved it on the Wonder a few years back, so hopefully won't have trouble getting it for one of our sea days.

I know we are the first Canadian cruise, but not the first our of NY, so hopefully any kinks will be worked out.

Adri, we're all looking forward to visting your lovely city. BTW, what's the closest grocery store to the port in Saint John? Also, is there a post office within walking distance of the port?

I booked my excursions and completed my online check-in! It's getting so real now. We are doing the Tall Ship Sailing in Halifax and Fundy by Land and Sea in St. John. We plan to go to Peggy's Cove in the afternoon after the tall ship in Halifax, but I haven't booked the hop on, hop off bus yet.

Did anyone else book excursions yet?

I wanted get you advice on the best time to see the Fundy Tides - Do you recommend High tide or Low tide. We are in St. John on June 13th and High Tide is at 8am and Low Tide is at 2:15pm. What do you recommend. Your help is greatly appreciated.

I hope everyone had a good weekend? Mine was uneventful, but lots of fun...my hunny and I were packing for our upcoming WDW trip - and picking our clothing out for Palo and Remy - we are on the Fantasy Maiden (whew....talk about busy...)

My weekend was wonderful--reinforced my faith in humanity. Two weeks ago, my Nook and WiFi card were stolen from my purse while I was waiting for the train to work. Toward the end of last week I received a call from New Jersey Transit asking if I had reported anything lost or stolen lately. I was able to describe the items--my Nook was in a bright pink case, really easy to identify. I picked it up on Saturday, and it was entirely intact and fully functioning. Apparently it wasn't what the person who helped him/herself wanted, probably thought it was an Ipad, and they left it on the train several stops north of where I leave the train! So yes, there are still good people left in this world.

Now I can relax and finish planning this cruise! I had completely forgotten to get the vacation time approved , but that's all done now too! So before long I'll be meeting all of you nice people!

OK, So post cruise there is a May Poppins theater tour, with tickets to the show, Orchestra Center tickets.

I Signed up for this!for the night after the cruise

tour is at 5 PM and show is at 8PM.

Also I bring this Up Because, I had to change my trip around to do this, was scheduled to fly home, this day.

Now, change flight & extra hotel room. so i am spending a couple extra bucks!!!

If a required number is not met, they will not due the tour, but you will be offered the tickets at a discounted price.

Ok, so Ticketmaster shows me that Tickets for this show Are $137 the price of the tour and ticket they / DCL are asking.
Seems like a Good deal.
Since you could purchase tixs for the price they ask for both....

The show is AWESOME, Yes we have seen it, so good that We want to see it a second time! Coming up for air.... we saw in Boston..

We'll be arriving the morning of the cruise via Penn Station as well. Our train gets in at 10:49, we are coming in from Central PA on the 660 Keystone. There a couple of other cruisers on this train as well.

I actually excited about the train ride. I've only been on a short one into the city years ago, never a couple hours.
