Can you use pool at any Disney resort if guest?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but can you go to any hotel and use their pool if you're staying at a different Disney resort? My first guess is no but since everyone can take advantage of campfire night at Fort Wilderness, I'm second guessing myself.

Your first guess is correct, with a few exceptions.

DVC members can "poolhop" to any pool other than SAB and the AKL except during busy seasons.

Guests of the All Stars resorts can swim at any All Stars pool.

Guests of the POR and POFQ resorts can swim at any pool at either resort.

No, you can't. DVC members are allowed to pool hop at most hotel pools during non-peak times, but that's it. Now, with that posted, someone is sure to post that they've done it a million times. People do lots of things while at WDW that they don't get called on, and they get away with it. I've even seen people who were staying offsite drop in at a pool for a dip (I only know because they were talking VERY loudly about it!).
