Can you turn down an upgrade?

This is not something I am faced with, but reading all the "Upgrade" posts got me thinking about the possibility.

We aren't cruising until October '05, but have three SPH rooms on the 5th floor (all on the same side). I am thrilled with these, since they are on the same floor as the theater and the kids' clubs.

If for some reason, they decided to upgrade us, could we decline? Not sure if I would, but I really am excited about the location we are in. Thanks!

I suppose you could. I think they would understand your reasons for staying there! keep the rooms together, great location. I would guess they would just pick another name. Hopefully, it would be mine!

YES u can turn Down an upgrade , but they may upgrade all 3 rooms that would be ok ??? The secret porthole rooms are great rooms have not seen 3 rooms upgraded but i have seen 2

Actually, one of the rooms is in my mom's name since she and her DH will be in one and my DH, our 4 boys and I will be in the two connecting rooms. The reservations are cross-referenced, but are still in separate names, so I was wondering if they would know that we wanted to stay together, or if they might upgrade hers and not mine or vice-versa. (That sounded a little confusing, didn't it? )

There's a part of me that thinks even if they did offer an upgrade (on another floor), I would still want to stay on level 5. There's just something comforting about the kids' clubs being right down the hall, as well as the movie theater being on the same floor. Now if they want to move us to verandah rooms on the 5th floor......
