We went there for the first time two weeks ago, and loved it. Part of this may have been that we had one of those "spend $100, get $50 off" certificates. In terms of value, wherever a family of five "adults" (non child's meals) can get out the door on-property for well under $100, including tax and tip, that's a great choice.
The food was a bit better than an Applebees or Chilis. Two of our family members had the "make your own burger" type of thing, and loved them (large patty and the fries were great). One had pasta (trio of cheese rigatoni with a nice "kick") and was more than content with the quality and quantity. Another had the Prime Rib Dip (looked fantastic and she really enjoyed it) and I had the half slab of St. Louis ribs (I'd rate them a solid "B"...good sauce, tender, meaty...not too fatty...with eight bones, which is a plus). We all added dessert (the standard Disney choco-lava cake) which was just as good as at Coral Reef.
Entertainment was going on outside (a talented gent with a guitar) and the restaurant is definitely unique inside. Will we return, definitely. Want linen tables, candles and chamber music? Stay at the Floridian, or join Thurston & Lovey over at the Yacht Club!
