For our upcoming trip, we have a dinner ADR at the GF Cafe and I'm hoping we can take the ferry directly there from FW and directly back.

Thanks in advance.

No, no direct service from FW to the GF. However, you can go to MK and switch boats and go to GF. Allowing for waiting time should take no more than an hour.

You could also take boat to Contemporary and then Resort Monorail directly to GF. Probably about the same travel time, maybe a little less.

Shoot! Thanks for letting me know how to get there. I'm thinking we might do the Contemporary route.

Depending on wait times, the boat might be a bit quicker, if time is an issue. It's a little bit of a hike from the Contemp boat dock to the monorail (always longer than I remember it being)

But then again.... it's also a bit of a hike from the boat dock at GF to the restaurant too.

Hmm... the more I think about it, the more it might be 6 of one, half dozen of the other. :upsidedow

tell them you have a bomb, they will take you.

GF guests prefer there be no direct transportation link between the Fort and their facilities. Makes it that much harder for us campers to leave a ring around their pool and pee in their bushes. :rotfl:

If time is a prime consideration, I would take whichever boat comes first; MK or CR. Doing the CR route you'll have a good walk between the dock and the monorail. Do the MK route and the hike will be from the GF dock and the café. Do note that if you are going around the end of the 3 o'clock parade or MK closing time you will want to wait for the CR boat. The docks at the MK will be mired in crowds.

Not long at all to go from CR boat to monorail. We just got back from CR. From boat, take elevator from lower level at CR to 4th floor and escalator monorail sation.

It is quicker to drive than do all of that stuff.

Yes, but unfortunately, we won't have a vehicle with us.

Thanks for all the helpful info. It's very possible my husband and I will be meeting there for dinner (he with the two older kids from MK and me with the two younger kids from FW). I'm TERRIBLE with directions and getting around, but I'm sure with your info I'll end up getting there. :)
