I first saw this last night and didn't comment, as I thought the question was answered and was hoping the thread would die away.

I also think your answer was rude. The OP is obviously new to the Boards and probably never has cruised before, so how is he/she to know if there are life jackets available for use??

Just an FYI.....Princess DOES have gear that they will rent out for people to take off the ship, even if you aren't on one of their excursions. So it really isn't that unreasonable a question.

"REALLY!!??" at the end of your first post? That's the equivalent of saying "DUH".....and you know it.

And your later post saying "step back" and "I was right" are pretty uncalled for also.

WOW! I had no idea this would be such a heated question! I thought I had read that there were jackets available for use at the pool but it is extremely clear that there are not. It never crossed my mind to even think of taking the emergency jackets out of the cabin. I did not anticipate the confusion.

You did NOTHING wrong. The whole idea of the DIS Boards is to have a place to go to find HELP and get answers.
