Can you still check your luggage in at the port on your way home?

When we sailed in 2000, if you used the Disney bus transfers, you could check your luggage in at the port and didn't have to worry about doing it at the airport? With 9/11 and all do they still do this.

If they do still do it, does anyone know if JetBlue is one of the airlines that they service this way?

YES they have airlines at the port to check luggage...
how ever i check Daves site www.dcltribute.com and Barbs and was not able to find a list of the airlines at the port.....

Just got off the 7 day Eastern (12/20) and you could still do this for major airlines. We flew a small regional airline so we did not have this option. Others in our party flew Delta and were able to check their luggage at the port.

Since then the alert level has been raised to Orange so that may change the way things are handled. Guess we have to wait for folks to return this Saturday to see if it changes anything.

This may be a dumb ? but since Song is owned by Delta... would you be able to check luggage at the "Delta" counter if you're on a Song flight?

It is not Song/Delta. It is Jet Blue another company. Fairly large with a very big NY to Orlando following.

Not a problem. I think I'll keep checking till we actually sail and if Jet Blue is part of the drop your luggage and run. I'm thinking that's what we'll do. If I have to check my own luggage at the airport then I'll rent a car.

There are several airline luggage check in's at the port , i did not see spirit or air canada. just the larger american lines like NWA or DELTA etc.

I was not aware that you had to have disney transfers in order to check your luggage at the pier. Is that true? Thanks for your help on this.

You do not have to use DCL transfers to check in you luggage at the port. We checked in our luggage at the port with Delta before getting our rental car. (We had a long wait before our flight home and didn't want to just wait at the airport all day.)

To answer the question about Song. Yes you can check your luggage at the Delta desk. Just did this last Sat. myself.

Be sure and allow enough time for checking luggage there. DH stood in line to check ours on Delta for an 11:45 flight (they moved it early-when we booked it was 12:45). Anyway, after standing in line for 20 minutes, they told him it was too close to flight time to check them.
