Can you request a specific room?

As the title states. Can you request a specific room number in the category that you are staying in or is it first come first serve at checkin?

You can request it, but odds are you won't get it. Why would your requested room just happen to be sitting vacant for your vacation dates?

we've always found it best to generalize. You can give the number but it's more likely that you'll get in the general area. We've request specific numbers before and it didn't work... but it's worth a shot. We now ask ..Poolside first floor, or something like that.

Sure you can - we routinely request a specific room when we stay at OKW. Odds are you won't get it, but so long as you won't be too disappointed why not ask? My guess is we've been assigned our favorite villa at OKW maybe 5 times out of 50 or so stays there. Now that there is no smoking at any WDW resort our requests look like "Villa Number", "Building Number" and "South Point Pool". You have nothing to lose by trying. Good luck.
