can you recommend a North Face winter coat?

Not for me, but my DD10. She really wants a down-puffy-style NF winter coat, so I am shopping now for deals. Here are some requirements:

-black (hard to find, i'm realizing) nothing shiny

-warm, but not stiff to wear. i want her to be able to play in the snow easily

-doesn't have to be completely waterproof, just water-resistant

-cheap would be nice!

I cannot seem to find one in a kids size that isn't shiny, so I think I have to go for a women's small. Shame, because they are more expensive.

If you have a NF jacket, and LOVE it, and it keeps you really warm, AND it's cozy to wear, please tell me about it. Thanks!

I have a North Face down parka (the warmest coat I have ever had I sweat in it, only wear on really cold days) that I got a great deal on at 6pm.com. I have bought one for each of my kids and two for myself on this sight. They are typically 50% off. My best deal was at Macy's though; got a boys large down north face jacket for $17.00!!!!!! Was summer of course but was an awesome deal

My dd(almost 9) has the black NF Aconcagua. It isn't shiny, but isn't matte either. Any waterproof type black fabric will have a sheen to it. It is super warm but soft and lightweight to wear. My dd has sensory issues, so anything that is tight, stiff or bulky is out for us. This is one of the only winter coats she can wear without it being too annoying for her.

We bought ours from Dick's sporting goods.

My dd has a black Nupste(probably spelled it wrong, lol) It's not shiny, just has a sheen like the previous poster said. It is lightweight but warm. She loves it.

I check 6pm.com almost daily, inventory changes constantly and prices can too . I have been pleased with all my purchases .
