Not if you’ve used it or the previous one. Unless there’s a glitch. Did you actually try doing it? That’ll get you a more accurate answer than asking on a message board.

It lets me choose my daughter who doesn’t have one but I didn’t continue farther for fear of screwing something up lol . I was actually shocked it’s even there

Do you want to assign it to her?

If your AP is newly renewed but you haven't gone to the parks yet, would that technically count as an AP voucher? If so, then you can reassign the pass. But I've never renewed an AP before so...

If anything, take a screenshot of what you have now just in case.

I would be concerned they won’t accept it when she tries to activate the voucher at a park.

I just reread and realized she had an AP that lapsed. Most likely the voucher will renew her old AP once she goes to use it.

Yes you should be able to. I have done this before. But I haven’t tried to reassign an AP in the last year or so, and with Disney IT being what it is, I would screenshot everything before you try it so you can at least get it back later.

I'm not familiar with APs so asking the pro. :) @lanejudy, If it happens as you say above, will the clock start as of the date her old pass expired? If so, that would need to be taken into consideration as it would decrease the number of days the pass could be used.

I don't have first-hand experience, but yes that is my expectation. Since she had an AP and allowed it to "lapsed last year" (according to the OP), the voucher would presumably renew her prior AP with the same expiration date one year later. I would not expect it to pick-up as of dad's expiration date, nor would it be a new AP starting the day it's activated. Depending on when the daughter's AP expired, this may or may not be a good use of his renewal voucher. OP hasn't given any indication as to the expiration dates of the APs involved.

Important to point out that if the voucher is transferred to the daughter and used by her, the husband will no longer have an AP. The current question of APs being uncertain leaves a lot to be considered for OP's decision.

Thank you for all the wonderful responses. I was thinking the renewal would be better to stay with my husband. One, I don’t trust that it won’t get screwed up. Second, I believe you are correct that it would be a way shortened pass . I will keep my fingers crossed they start sales again.
