Can you book CRT for say breakfast say you have the dining plan and then actually PAY cash for the meal at breakfast?? I guess my question is do they have a way for you to pay OOP at the restaurant as it is a prepaid meal now?? I know it seems silly but if they don't then I'm in trouble.
TIA

I don't know for certain, but what are the odds that WDW has overlooked a way to separate you from your money? ;)

I think you'll be fine.

Just keep in mind that if you don't show, your Dining Plan credits may still be forfeit (if they ever figure out a way to do that).

OK I think I'm safe. I know Bicker anything to make people keep that ressie. I was surprised how many people were a no show last November. As hard as that ADR was to get we were going "I do not care if your dead dear sit up in your seat and smile we are at the castle." :rotfl2:

If I remember correctly, when I made my ADR for CRT, the CM asked me for my credit card number, but told me that it wouldn't be charged since I was on the dining plan. Of course, if I don't show up, the full price will be charged to the card.

She also said that, if I decided I wanted to pay for the meal OOP, then I could just let them know that day.

THANK YOU!! That is what I wanted to know.

Disney takes a credit card guarantee from guests who reserve a meal that's normally pre-paid if the guest indicates they'll be using MYW Dining.

Takes care of those guests who cancel their vacation but think cancelling their package will also cancel their ADRs.

I did the opposite last year with a CP reservation. I pre-paid it with a credit card but reversed it and paid with my dining plan when I picked up my tickets. NO problem.

Okay, thanks for the update Lewisc. I could swear I remember reading messages from guests who indicated that they bypassed the credit card guarantee by being on the Dining Plan. Guess not.
