Can you Pay for Disney in Cash?

I am thinking of opening a US account. We are heading back to Disney in Sept/2010. If I have to pay on a Canadian credit card 45 days before then I'm still going to get hit with the exchange regardless of having an account. If I get a US credit card, it's going to cost me an annual fee correct?

What is the best way to pay in US funds? For all I know the exchange could be 50 cents next year, which happened to us back in the 90's & our trip cost us double.

Anyone?

I opened a US Chequing acct. at T.D and it has no fees.
I also added a us savings acct on my online ING acct. The ing bank always has a better exchange rate than the t.d so I am planning on exchanging to u.s on the ING acct. first and leaving it there to collect interest (t.d doesn't give interest) and then when I have to pay the balance going in to t.d and getting a money order for the amt. and sending it to disney directly.
Disney has a different address to send cash payments to other than paying with a credit card and paying the fees.
So....any day now when the rate gets to par or close to it I will exchange my money online at ing.
this is what I am doing........

I didn't realize you could do a money order. I've always just used my credit card.

I'm going to head to CIBC, it looks like their's is no fee from what I can read. I live in a small town & no TD near me (or ING). We bank with PC so we don't even really have a bank & they don't offer anything.

We've paid by cash by sending a money order directly to Disney. We have used Purolator or Fedex (can't remember which one) to send the $$. Was very easy to do. We have a US account at TD and just got the money order there.

You can get a US Dollar Visa from TD. It's $25 per year but on the cost of a Disney trip you'll still come out saving quite a bit of money this way. This method completely avoids the 2.5% surcharge that are charged by Canadian credit cards.

You have to pay the card in US dollars which will be easy for you as you already have a US bank account.

I have an RBC USD Visa..no annual fee because of the acct I have w/RBC
You can also pay the Disney balance using a USD Cheque (associated with a USD bank acct) as long as you allow them to receive it and have it clear by final payment time.

:goodvibesYou could also book your trip with a TA and then just go in and pay directly in cash to the TA....they will make the payment for you.
