We have points at VWL and SSR....two different contracts. Can we link days booked with each or will we have to actually check out and check back in?? Right now I am looking at just doing a split stay at two different resorts so they would not have to be linked BUT if we do decided to just stay put....can this be done now? THANKS :goodvibes

I have two different contracts and always have to split the reservation if I want to stay more than a few days at the same resort. Member services links them for me. I do have to go to the front desk with all of our cards and check in check out (but we stay in the same room), but I go early when there isn't much traffic at the front desk and it doesn't take long.

Similar question--if we were to rent points to supplement the ones we have, can we link the reservation booked by another member to our reservation?

Both owners would need to contact MS in order for them to be linked.

We have two member use years and recently had a trip where MS had linked the two reservations for the same room type and resort (BWV). Be aware that they have now apparently resolved the issue of doing a mini check out and check in on the turnover date because we did not have to do that for the recent trip and front desk personnel said that requirement no longer applies and the two reservations are just treated as one continuous reservation at the resort for all purposes.

Do you have two different memberships or just two contracts? If you have two contracts under the same membership, you can add days to your existing reservation using points from the second contract and it will all be one reservation. If you have two memberships (usually the result of having two different Use Years) then you would have two separate reservations. In that case you should ask MS to link them so that you would not have to change rooms, assuming that the reservations are for the same resort, room size and booking category.

If none of the points are borrowed or banked, you could transfer from one to the other and make one reservation.

I tacked on a night rented from another owner. Somehow she managed to get my booked stay and her contract's add on linked...don't ask me how, but it even shows up in MDE.
