My parents have a place in the Orlando area. Can they stay at our resort for the day??? Do we need special permission or pay an extra fee?

We had guests for the day when we stayed at the GF 6 months ago. As long as they don't spend the night, I do not think there is a problem.

What do you mean by spend the day? Shop? Hang out in your room? Lounge in the lobby? Eat at the restaurants? Go swimming? See pool hopping thread on that last one, although, depending upon your resort you might be able to get permission from Guest Services for them to go swimming with you. For the non-swimming ideas, I think it's all good, although they will probably have to pay for parking? Not sure about that, we've never had a car at WDW.

I was wondering the same thing, we are going to be at the Poly in a few weeks and we have friends staying at the CBR and we wanted to spend a day together, my thing is the parking and how to get them past the security. I was thinking of calling and asking if there would be some way that they could park for more then the 3 hours they usually give for when your there for a meal

We stayed at the Beach Club in the Nantucket Suite and we had day guests. My family joined us for a day of fun, we enjoyed SAB for a few hours and went to dinner. No Problems at all!!

We stayed at the AKL last September and my inlaws came to visit, we just notified the front desk and the security guard that they would be coming and they said no problem. They did not have to pay for parking and they could have used the pool if they wanted to.

i had also wondered about this. We have friends that live in the orlando area, and were interested in coming to our resort, just to see what the resorts look like. We have visited all of the WDW resorts, and we would love to take them around to some of our favorites. Lunch at one, maybe dinner at another, just for fun. I am just concerned with getting them through security at our resort. They have no intentions of using any of the facilities (like the pool).

During busy times they will not be able to use the pool. This past July 4th I was at SAB and the Polynesian pool (we switched resorts that day), and saw "day guests" of hotel guests turned away at both.
