Can you handle one more dining package question?

OK, Since everyone here knows so much it seems, I thought I would ask you guys!

Lets say I am booking a room with some friends. We are all coming in on the same day but they want to leave 2 days before me. So lets say the initial group will be there 3 days and I want to say 5. As I understand this, we all need to purchase the same ticket- in other words either all 3 day tickets or all 5 day tickets, right? Does it matter if I add days to mine when we get there? Will the cost be the same in the end? As long as I book the hotel for all 5 nights, there shouldnt be an issue with me adding ticket days or am I missing something? Does Disney care if everyone is not in the room the duration of the booking?

I dont want to do 2 reservations because we are checking in on the last day of free dining.

My understanding:

In your case everyone gets 3 day tickets. You can upgrade yours at check-in to 5 days.

And no I can't see where it would matter they leave early. But I think you will end up payin the extra person in the room charge for the entire stay.

At a value it's 10$ for any adults over 2. So for you 10$ a night.
