Can you go through the log in process "early" - before 6 am?

I am going to be setting my alarm clock tonight to start making my reservations tomorrow morning . What I was wondering is.... can I "retrieve my reservation before 6am and bring up my first choice restaurant so when the time has come, I can just put in the day and time and cross my fingers?

Second question - When I called in last year I started, by my clock, 2 minutes ahead of the official time and got through. Has anyone had any success with trying a bit early doing this online and getting a reservation?

Wish me luck and thanks!

that they were able to do it at 5:30 am. I tried early my morning on line about a week ago and I didn't get in early. It's worth a try. I will say doing it at 6 am worked like a breeze. It was great. I got everything done that I could do on line before needing to call Disney dining at 7am. I didn't get in early calling, either. I still had to call for CRT, Fantasmic Package and CP package.

I did get everything I wanted within 5 to 10 minutes of what I requested. I don't think you will find it too difficult to get what you want. You are a little closer to Christmas, but everyone's reporting very good results right now.

The time you can start booking online is at 6 AM Eastern. I live in the Central Time Zone so I was able to book my reservations at 5 AM my time. That may be what people are reporting when mentioning times earlier than 6 AM.

As for logging on and retrieving your reservation ahead of time? Yes you can do this. I was online about 15 minutes before online booking opened. I was able to log in and brought up my reservation. I was at the first restaurant screen I wanted and prior to the start of online booking the dates were still blocked for what I wanted. I hit the refresh button on my browser every 20 to 30 seconds and when the online booking opened the dates I was now eligible for suddenly were available for me to select.

Another thing I was able to do was open up multiple restaurants simultaneously in different tabs. I believe I brought them up after I first logged in. That way I was able to click on each tab as I went to book each restaurant I wanted rather than have to waste time searching for each one. As you make your reservations they are all added to one check out cart. I only booked 5 reservations in one cart at a time since I saw someone on the DIS post that you couldn’t do more. I had 10 reservations total that I wanted to make so I did it in two separate check outs.

I live on the east coast and made my reservations on-line last Saturday. I logged in at 5:40 am est. I opened eight windows for my eight restaurants. I was able to start booking at 5:50 am. So yes - the system must be up and running before 6 am (sometimes anyway).

I also live in the Central Time Zone & was planning on being able to process mine online at 5:00 AM. I got up at 4:00 AM & was able to get online & get all my ADRs. They are posted under the December ADP post thread. I was shocked it was already up & running !! Woo Hoo !!:santa::santa::santa:

A couple of days ago, I got up at ~3 AM and was finished by 3:30 AM. I was sooo relieved I didn't get up in the middle of the night for nothing! Got every restaurant I wanted for the meal and day I wanted, but the first two nights were about 45 minutes later than what I was hoping for.

I too was able to log in about 5:40 am and make ressies and I know another Dis'er who did three days after me and got logged in early and made her ADR's. So it's definitely worth a shot to try

Just wanted to also confirm that the calendar options opened at exactly 3A ET this morning for me. I had lots of trouble checking out, though. I booked five, then tried to check out and only the last two went through. I kept trying again and again and finally at 3:48 I had them all. Some I only got through one at a time. Make sure to 'pan down' the page to see if the conf # is below your first viewscreen. One was below and I almost didn't see it, I thought it hadn't gone through.

It was funny, the one I had the most trouble with was Chef Mickey's and for the 'alternate times/places' options it was spewing out CRT like they couldn't give the tables away.:confused3

I logged in at 4 this morning and got everything I wanted within 15-30 minutes of the times I typed in. I did start having some issues at 4:56am but then I just entered one at a time and checked out and it worked....I moved some around at 9am and still was able to find open ADRs even for LeCellier and CRT....so I'd say you're not going to have too much of an issue getting the ADRs you want :)

I can't find how to book reservations online. Will someone please post the link? I can book tomorrow morning. Good luck to everyone booking tomorrow too!!!!

Click on BOOK at the top and scroll down on the right to where it says DINING RESERVATIONS. It's pretty self explanatory from there...you click on the park you want to visit on the left, then click on the restaurant you want to book at (underneath the restaurant picture it'll say "BOOK RESERVATION" or something like that. Then click on the small print link at the top of the page that says "LINK RESERVATION" so you can link your resort reservation to your dining ressies. Once you do that it should give you 90 days out plus 10....and you can book :)

Thank you ! I found it  What if I have 3 different Resorts with a cruise in between? Will I still be able to book 90+10 even though I am only at the first Resort for 3 nights and then the second 4 nights? Then a Disney cruise for 3 nights and then back to resorts for 6 nights....

Thanks

Thank you all for this great info. And OP thanks for posting. This info is exactly what I was looking for as my booking day opens Wed. 9/16. Taking my mom for our yearly visit 12/14-12/18. Can't wait!!! Then DH flies in 12/19and we have 2 nights 12/19 & 12/20 as he leaves for an overseas tour in January. So...needless to say, Iwill have to get up twice this coming week at 3 am. It is all worth it though and I have our restaurants/times written down with second choices just in case. Hoping that since it is the week before Christmas I will have good luck and not really huge crowds. Good luck to all of you who have booked dining and for those of you who have dining windows opeing up soon.

Same here, except I was trying for Crystal Palace.....Kept offering me CRT. :confused3 :rotfl:

Like you, I would "book" several, only to find at final checkout that they weren't really mine. Rinse, repeat. Rinse, repeat. At one point, I was trying Flying Fish for the same day/same time slot over and over. I must have tried 5-7 times before it finally went through. It took forever, was very frustrating, but eventually worked.
