Can you find ANY logic in this???

As an official member of the "I can't stand my MIL club" I fully understand your situation. I always felt that my MIL had an "agenda", and I just couldn't place why. I could never understand why she felt so strongly about petty things, and let the important stuff in her life go unnoticed. Your last sentence though was quite alarming. What is going on with your oldest daughter and your MIL? That to me is the more important question that you need to get to the bottom of. Good luck with your MIL. :)

My MIL is just one of those people who thinks the whole world is out to get her. You know, one of those people who won't trust anyone. She constantly verbalizes her fears about everything. My oldest is now 13. She gets an upset stomach around her just from the sheer stress the woman puts on people. DD knows she can't just tell her off, so I think she just internalizes it. Luckily, we only see her once or twice a year.

I am so dreading her visit.....

What a great idea. Sign me up. :thumbsup2

..maybe she gets charged per check she writes? not likely, but some banks still do that. It may be a combination of things, the fact that your kids probably aren't gonna be rushing out to the bank to cash a check and not wanting to send cash in the mail. You could always ask her :teeth:
