at Seaworld. I know you can swim with them at Discovery Cove, but I thought I read some where that you can pet and feed them at Seaworld. If so, where and how much is the food/experience?

Thanks!

Yes, you can feed and pet them although they often get away to find more fish before you can actually touch them! It's around 5 dollars for a few fish, but I warn you it gets really busy and you have to be very patient and be prepared to wait till it has calmed down a bit and the majority of the people have got bored an gone away. It is a great experience though. We do it each day we are ther and you can get some great photos. It happens quite a few times during the day. PM me if you want.

Thanks Verity! I will wait as long as I need to as I promised my DS that we would dine with sharks (underwater Grill) and feed the dolphins!!!!!!! Don't want to confuse those two!!!! :p

Be sure to get in line to purchase your fish to feed the dolphins around 15-20 minutes before feeding time. They sell only a set amount of fish for each feeding, so you want to be near the front of the line. If you have 2 adults with you, I'd suggest one getting in line for food, the other take the kids and stake out a claim along the pool wall. If you only have 1 adult, get in line, get your fish and then wait until there's an opening along the wall. As Verity said, be patient, wait until the crowd thins a little before feeding the dolphins.

I agree with the sentiments of a little patience pays big rewards. Not always easy if you have young kids though :D . The dolphins are likely to be a little more patient if they have already had some fish, when the fish first come out they can get quite excited and a little demanding. It's an activity that's much easier with two adults if you have small children as kids under 7 really need an adult to hold them up to get near enough to the dolphins ( keep a tight grip please !!! LOL )

Unless they raised prices, it used to be $4 for 4 fish in a white paper cup. They go real fast, and the dolphins know who has the goodies.
Yes, have one person stand in line for the food, and another stake a spot on the wall. When you have food, others will squeeze in to pet the dolphins as you feed.
What happens, is that the dolphin notices you have food. They come up, smile, make some noise, you pet them under their nostrum, then toss the fish in their mouth. If you don't toss the fish at this time, they'll splash you and swim away.
You can try to wait for others to leave, but they have trainers walking thru the crowd that will ask you to feed the dolphins before the fish get warm.
There is a snack stand next to the stingray tank. Grab a beer, some snacks, and watch what people are doing.
If you want to feed the stingrays, do it early in the morning as they get full.
For the dolphins, 3pm is a good time to visit, because a trainer comes out with a bucket of fish and feeds certain dolphins, but it happens very fast and you have to be looking for him.

Bring lots of cash and buy at least 4 cups of food.

If you don't have a fish, I find it nearly impossible to pet a dolphin.

Also SW has photographers across the way taking pictures. We got a picture and it is a keepsake.

You can also feed the sea lions at Sea World. I personally like feeding them more than the dolphins. You can't actually touch them, but they make all kinds of noises at you and are great catchers (just beware of the birds they can catch the fish really well too). I think they sell the fish for the sea lions almost all day, unlike the dolphins who only have 2 feeding times with a limited amount of fish. It is also a lot easier to deal with the crowds at the sea lion area.
