Long story made short:
Buying 2 military tickets for 4 days was the cheapest route for us. So, we each have 2 tickets. Using the first set of tickets, I set up our FP+ and ADRs. Feeling good about things, I moved on to day 5... Did not work, said we did not have any more days, although there were 3 tickets with 4 days left. I called customer service, talked with a couple folks, one nice and helpful, one not so much...
Anyway, I decided to take matters into my own hands since I just got, "there is nothing we can do since you bought military tickets." My husband had an MDE acct (he's not going), but I decided to change the name on the acct to me and added the kids. Then, I linked the tickets to the proper person and went on and made my FP+ for all 8 days!

My question... I wanted to purchase a MB for each of us and was wondering if I could get one that linked both accts? We are all linked as friends on both accts? Or does that even matter?

I also have MM on one acct, but since I'm friended on that acct, that should work right, too?

I tried reading (for hours, yes, I got sucked in) to find this info and I did find info about the MM, but just want to make sure I'm on the right path! :)

So if I am reading this right, you now have 2 MDE accounts. One for the first 4 days, and one for the second 4 days. Is that right?

If you get Magicbands, they will only connect to one account. If you are staying on property, you could split your stay to 2 reservations and then you would get 2 sets of Magicbands. You could add one reservation to the first account and the second reservation to the second account.

The only other option I can think of with Magicbands would be to use your first half, then call the tech line and talk to someone and see if they would switch your bands to the second account. I personally think this would be a waste of time and possibly a frustration on your trip, because they might not even do it.

Lastly, why would you buy Magicbands? They are $13 and currently only offer the same benefits as your ticket. Might as well just use the tickets. If you were on property and getting them already, then that is one thing as it opens your room and can be used for spending, but other than that, $13 is quite a bit of money to pay to keep your ticket on your wrist.

Again, if staying on property, just book 2 reservations and split your stay. You will get 2 Magicbands for each person, and then the only difficulty is remembering to switch bands the morning of your second reservation.

As for Memory Maker, if you have made the 2 accounts friends and given MM full access to both accounts, it should work fine. Just have the CM double check that the pics posted to the account the first few times you or the kids use the friended account Magicbands.

I thought it might be a little more convenient to have the ticket/fp+/MM on my wrist, but if it is going to be too much trouble, I may just nix the idea.
